16 Hour Training Certificate Won't Accept the Curriculum Number

I'm using the ILLINOIS STATE POLICE Concealed Carry Firearm Training Certificate, ISP 2-640 (3/18) and the form will not allow the full Curriculum Number of 13A0589. The text box will only accept six characters rather than seven comprising the complete curriculum number. The form in question is attached.

Anyone have a solution?

I'm a new Instructor. Any ideas about where I can conduct the classroom portion of my CCL classes as an independent contractor?

I recently got my instructor certification from ISP. I have an arrangement with a couple of local ranges for the shooting portion of my classes, but I'm sort of stuck when it comes to finding a place to teach the classroom portion. I can't do them in a library. Am I left only with renting a hotel conference room? Any ideas besides this?

(I am doing this as an independent contractor with my own LLC, so I'm not looking to become an employee at an FFL.)

I'm on the southside of Chicago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If my Illinois CCW expires in June of 2024, when do I begin the renew process? Do I wait till June? Do I need to re-take the class? If I do need to take the class again, how long is the process, before I receive the new license?

A question about something I heard in a CCL renewal course

So, in the renewal class, everything was pretty much boilerplate stuff that you'd expect. One thing stuck out to me, though. It was said that you can only carry one firearm, no backup. I don't remember that being part of the original law, and I keep relatively up to date with it. Had that been added or is the language of the actual law supportive of this take?

I am in the Quad Cities. Local places seem to be booked up or not have a website. I have emailed or texted a bunch of people from the ISP website but that's a long tedious process and if I have to email 100 people it's gonna take a while.

Appreciate any shoutouts. As I have emailed a lot of people already I may get duplicates I suppose. I wish the ISP had a map you could just click on. But why make it easy?

Illinois CCL class 9/16-17 @ World Shooting Complex-Sparta

Southwestern Illinois Firearms Training will be holding a Concealed Carry License Class on September 16th-17th. Day two of the class is again being offered as a refresher for anyone needing to renew their CCL. We don't usually have refresher classes because people tend to ask for these sporadically and on a rush basis. I can't justify renting facilities for a person or two every few weeks.

Two weeks after this class, we're planning to have a Basic Pistol Course. I'll send an email late next week with specifics. This class is a live-fire training class to work out your defensive pistol and holster, fix shooting errors, and help you become much more confident with your defensive pistol. Regardless of if you have or have not taken a concealed carry course, this is the class that will primarily work on improving your pistol shooting skills so you can get that gun out quickly and put effective hits on target.

The Basic AR-15 Course is coming in the near future. I know... I know... I've put it off twice now because of scheduling issues but we're going to do it this time. This will be an awesome class!

Illinois and Florida Concealed Carry Class on April 29-30 at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta. This class is much more than just "getting your certificate." We cover the state-mandated requirements and cover in-depth every aspect of carrying a concealed firearm, firearms in the home, legal issues, out-of-state carry, etc. We also will spend an afternoon on the range doing much more than the basic 30-round qualification course. Students, regardless of skill level, will leave the class with a working knowledge of safe gun handling and tactics necessary for carrying concealed firearm to protect themselves and their families.

Anyone in need of a refresher course prior to their CCL permit expiring can attend for the full second day for $40. This is also being offered for IDOC Corrections Officers. Attending the second day is beneficial since we've had numerous people attend prior refresher courses that didn't have basic knowledge of things that should have been taught elsewhere in their initial course. It takes a little longer than a 3-hour (minimum) refresher but is well worth your time.
