Rotor Posted October 16, 2016 at 03:36 AM Posted October 16, 2016 at 03:36 AM I got an NRA "Election Alert" card this week rating Sam Yingling (D) an NRA "A" rated candidate. I found that shocking because I know Sam Yingling (D) to be a Madigan approved and funded candidate. I'm curious as to how this rating was achieved. A Drobinski ( R) volunteer called me this eve to discuss the election and I told him about the card I received. He said they were aware and intimated that NRA had struck a deal on this matter with Madigan to achieve legislative relief on another issue. He also said that the deal in question was undone after the fact by Cullerton. Has anyone heard of this kind of info in District 62. JR

mauserme Posted October 16, 2016 at 04:34 AM Posted October 16, 2016 at 04:34 AM I don't know about any deals. I do know that on the one hand Representative Yingling voted in favor of concealed carry but, on the other hand, he voted against overriding Governor Quinn's amendatory veto.
Tvandermyde Posted October 16, 2016 at 05:01 PM Posted October 16, 2016 at 05:01 PM we have worked with representative Yingling on a number of issues. And he voted for the suppressor bill which was a priority this session. As well as being opposed to the dealer licensing bill. You support those who have supported you. We can not go out and ask for their votes on our issues then turn around and not support them in an election. We would never get anything done, have ZERO credibility and be way behind where we are today
