It's my understanding that OP's AWB still stands. They simply removed the provision banning all handguns. It's also my understanding River Forest included 03 FFL holders as exempt from the ban. It's little more than a feel good measure to pander to the local gun control advocates so that the city can say they did something no matter how ineffective or silly it may be. The funny thing is that i doubt that i would have ever applied for a 03 ffl if OP didn't have the ordinance. Now I'm glad I did. Since March, the discounts I've received from retailers already amount to more than what i paid for the license. Not to mention it makes it much easier to acquire some really cool old guns! Somehow I don't think that it was OP's intention to spark my interest in historical firearms in such a way that it caused me to start collecting them.

4th - Lightford 8th - Ford not impressed with either one. I left a voice mail for Lightford's local office a couple weeks ago and got a call back from a staffer telling me to call the Springfield office and leave another message because, "we don't handle constituent concerns".
