  1. I see why I was confused, CNN referenced the Miller case in the article: Federal judge overturns California ban on high-capacity gun magazines Thanks for the clarification
  2. I am confused about what is being reported in the media. Didn't US District Judge Roger T. Benitez issue or re-issue his ruling last Friday? There is a story that California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a notice of appeal. What court is he appealing to? This has been up to the Supreme Court and it was remanding to the lower court so where do you go from there? Would it go the the full United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ?
  3. Who was the attorney who represented John Horstman - in the UUW case against Horstman, (not the subsequent lawsuit Horstman filed against DuPage County).
  4. Wasn't there a few cases where Cook County Sheriffs monitored to see if FOIDs expired and then showed up at owners' homes to confiscate guns?
  5. I hope that anyone posting a closing is very very careful to make sure that their information is correct. You can damage someone's business by posting that they have closed or moved their business when they haven't.
  6. The reason I don't believe this story is because so many people have posted right here at Illinoiscarry.com that they've never been able to talk to a live person when they've called the Illinois State Police Firearms Services Bureau. i don't doubt Jag-Bag Pritzker would tell the ISP to slow-walk everything and never send anything out before the due date. I just find it hard to believe that there are enough people in the bureau for anyone to answer the phone.
  7. In case people don't know what that is... an example would be when an American citizen marries a foreigner. The spouse is granted a non-immigrant visa.
  8. Maybe when he hung that deer carcass in his front lawn ?
  9. I listened to the floor debate, they should call that guy Misrepresentative Stewart.
  10. Doesn't anyone have a link to the Willis comments?
  11. This thread is for FFL dealers here at Illinois Carry to post their contact info. The reason I started this thread was because I thought it would be a good idea to be able to refer people to FFL dealers within our illinoiscarry.com community if possible, because I have literally marched next to some of them in Springfield and sat next to some of them in city hall meetings - most recently when the city of West Chicago proposed ordinances that would have put gun shops and ranges out of business and made it almost impossible to open a gun shop or range in the future. This community also serves as a sort of "Angie's List" of FFL dealers. All of the recommendations have been for really outstanding people.
  12. mauserme now creates a "Progress Tracker" post with the links. Its a lot of work for mauserme, but its the easiest way (for everyone else), to track who filed witness slips and the current tally. The only way I know how to do it is to start with the bill number, go to ILGA.gov, type in the bill number in the search field, that brings up the bill status page. There will be a section near the top titled Hearings. The hearing section will tell what committee it is scheduled to be heard in, it also gives you a location. Then go to the ILGA dashboard, choose which chamber the bill is in - either senate or house, click on "Committees", click on the gavel icon, choose the meeting time and location that matches the hearing section information from the bill's status page, click "View Legislation", the bills are listed in numeric order, find the bill you want to view and click on the magnifying glass icon from the "Witness Slips" column.
