Whats this administration done that will make sure ,guarantee , everyone of our grandchildren can buy an AR or Ak? That’s the bar I set. Nothing. He’s been tossing us bones since he showed up.

We all care. Ive been contacting leaders who matter for 50 years. Ive gotten the same canned response from Dick Durbin for as long as he’s been in office, hopeless. My Illinois rep said at a ISRA local meetup that he can’t ever get preliminary consideration of anything he proposes, hopeless. 2.5 million FOID holders organizing would own the narrative in this state, ISRA has about 25000 member.🤔When I talk to some fellow shooters about getting more vocally involved the say they just don't want to get on any lists,😳. FOID/CCL holders worried about getting on a”list” 🤷‍♂️ PICA also added to the perceived worry level I would think.Every move by the state deeper into control make political confrontation that much less palatable.

I’ve been told for 55 years my FOID is unconstitutional. In reality that’s not true, until the last highest court rules so. Still waiting.

I ordered a picatinny rail from Palmetto for a bolt action bench rest 22 build. Would not sell it to me because it could be used on a AR 15. Obviously I’m done with them going forward.

Ask a local police department. I don’t live in Barrington but they did it. They added me to their day log and I paid a fee.

Who of us here, who carry, have convinced all our other adults friends and family members to do the same. Me, none, and I’ve offered to pay for the training for my wife and adult children. Most folks in this country don’t care much about gun ownership one way or the other. To most, carrying a gun all the time seems like a bother. We are passionate about the issue, sadly most are not.

We visited Nashville this summer. Stayed at the Hilton just off Broadway. Some places were posted but I carried anyway. No one ever challenged me. Then we went to the new Grand Old Opry. Saw nothing until we got to the entrance to the theater. Big no gun signs and every one was getting swept by hand. Walked back to the car and stowed it. They were dead serious. Only place I was checked, didn’t know until I walked a couple blocks from the lot.
