  1. I did the FDR after they received my appeal. The police department that my weapons were surrendered to signed off on it. The document says to put on line 1 that you do not have weapons in your possession, if you do not. I do not, but the officer had me list the two firearms in their possession on line 1 and 2 and check off the section that says weapons were surrendered or seized by law enforcement. Did I fill this out wrong? Should I add a typed up letter explaining, or put the police station in the section where you can name who the weapons were transferred to? Thanks in advance.
  2. Thank you. Molly said I may have to email ISP and have them clear my FOID status, so I can apply. Should I just apply first and see what happens, or email them first? I greatly appreciate your time.
  3. Thank you, Fred. What is my first step? Apply for a FOID?
  4. I had a voluntary mental health stay in 2012/2013ish. I was brought to a normal hospital by my then fiancée due to a doctor prescribing to high of a dose of medicine. The Dr at the hospital wanted to taper me off the meds and demanded I go to his place of business, which also was a mental health facility. I did not want to go, but he informed me he could go to a judge, so I agreed to go. Fast forward a year, I did not realize my FOID was revoked. I was pulled over with my firearms in the trunk and arrested for UUW felony. It was plead down to a misdemeanor of attempt to possess a firearm without required Foid. I reached out to Dr Brenzinger, and he told me to apply for my FOID and see what the denial reason is before doing an evaluation. Do you see the arrest as being a potential roadblock in reinstatement? Or should it be a straight forward mental health evaluation? Thank you in advance for your time
