Hi all, anyone here ever buy a firearm from CDNN Sports? I've bought mags and lots of other stuff but never a firearm.

Reason I'm asking is I receicved their new catalog and they have the Remington 870 (WingMaster) 12ga 2.75" chamber, 18" barrel, bead sight. It comes with the SpeedFeed set (tactical stock that holds 4 extra shells and forearm) Only thing is it is orange though I can get the black furniture for $49 if and when I decide I want it.

Any thoughts?

I did some business with them last month. Made a transfer through Cabellas. Fine folks on both ends. I dealt with Cody at CDNN Investments. Good deal for me. Prompt shipping, etc. Quite pleased.

For one, they won't ship any ammo to all of Illinois. So if you get the opportunity to talk with them, ask them why? These laws aren't THAT hard to keep up with...and the responsibility should be placed on the consumer in the form of a waiver (I agree that I am following all fed, state, and local regulations, etc.).

At any rate, getting a firearm from them should be fine....why would it not be? They are a huge company and sell thousands upon thousands of firearms. Mack...look on the page opposite the back cover. That Citibank company was effectively accusing them of violating the GCA by shipping firearms from one FFL dealer to another FFL dealer. Unbelievable. I bet some heavy hitters are looking into that!

I saw the 870 as well, and thought it was a good price. Though like you, not fond of blaze orange furniture...

GarandFan, I always give it (the straight talk ) to those companies that balk at doing business with Illinois. Though most are very adamant about their stance just because they do not want the hassle.

The only two that I succeeded at getting to ship me ammo have been AIM and SportsmansGuide. Of course I had to send them a copy of my FOID, DL and C&R for their files.

I decided to pass on the shotty... I just couldn't justify spending near 200 bucks that I really don't have. (still unemployed).

Yepper, though it's not due to not trying. Getting hired in this business, in this economic climate sucks...

I'm seriously thinking major career change time..

I have had ammo shipped to me from CDNN but I have my FFL. A buddy of mine gets some super cheap .308 ammo somewhere and they will only ship it to an FFL so he has them ship it to me and he comes and gets it. Talk to one of the gun shop owners in your area and ask them if you can have it shipped to their place of business it doesn't cost them a thing except they aren't selling you their marked up ammo. If they don't want to do it don't buy any guns from them anymore. It would be best to find a guy that does it out of his house because he doesn't have the inventory to have to compete with you.
