In the C.C.H. meeting now. They passed out a copy of the ordinance as we walked in. Looks like a copy of the one all villages are kicking. Will keep updating as things happen.

Video if possible!

I wish I could have been there, but I am stuck behind a computer this evening. CCH is actually one of the communities that I am considering moving to, so I will be watching this with great interest. Needless to say, if they pass an AWB, it is off of my list. The new AWB that I have seen recently are actually worse than Chicago's and Cook County's. I may have been born in a city that restricts my rights, but there is no way that I will pay money to move to another city that restricts my rights even further.

-----I believe they just passed it with no discussion. Open floor at the end. Will get back in a few.-------

Scratch that. Really sorry. Had a hard time hearing. BIG misunderstanding on my part. Will try to be more careful in the future. Sorry again

Doubt he was killed by an "assault weapon"

Depends how you define it, remember there is no such this as an "assault weapon" until they pass a law defining and banning them

Go easy on the mom who lost her son. She is an employee and was not there to testify. It came up because they asked for prayers for the family after the invocation and, ma'am, you certainly have mine.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is attached.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. - C.S. Mauserme, 2A, and BWB...it was great to meet you tonight. Thought we had a pretty good turn out.

I appreciate Alderman Evans stating (very eloquently) that she believes that this issue is something that should be handled at the state/federal level and not at the municpal level. As stated, the AWB was tabled, but it was great to hear her give her opinion on the matter.

She made my day. It would serve no purpose as all one has to do is go to any of the surrounding towns. The young lady did her homework.

Nice to have met all of you gentlemen.
