I guess I am so used to the term "assault weapon" in the media I immediately think of those deadly black rifles.

Have friends in Oswego there that are politically involved. They are cross posting and getting a number of folks revved up on this. E-mails already being sent and they are making plans to attend the meeting.

I have a buddy from college, known him for 12 years (wow, I didn't even realize that) who just moved from Boulder Hill to Montgomery proper (literally across the river) and his parents are friends with Tom Cross. I just can't see Oswego passing this. I can't speak for Oswego but Kendall County just seems like a very diverse community. Rural and suburban. Some loon trustee probably proposed this, I'll call my buddy and see if he can talk to some people and maybe get the scoop on what's going on here.

However, I have to be in Springfield that night and can not attend the meeting. The Chief is against any ban as an FYI But please do show up.
