Keilman1 Posted June 11, 2013 at 05:40 PM Posted June 11, 2013 at 05:40 PM Elements Firearms will be holding an NRA Basic Pistol Class on June 14th. This class meets the educational requirements for a Non-Resident Arizona or Non-Resident Florida CCW Permit, and according to the HB0183 will count for 8 hours towards the 16 hours required for the Illinois Permit if it all goes through... Contact Elements Firearms @ 618-670-5374 or www.elementsfirearms.com for additional information or to register for the class. Still have a few spaces available!
rfc000 Posted June 11, 2013 at 08:17 PM Posted June 11, 2013 at 08:17 PM I took this class a couple of months ago from Allen at Elements Firearms. Good class and excellent instructor. Sent from my KFJWI using Tapatalk 2
GlockCarry Posted June 11, 2013 at 08:58 PM Posted June 11, 2013 at 08:58 PM I also took this class back in January. Good class, Allen is definitely pro gun and pro carry, and would recommend taking it if you need it. He even sold me the Glock that I chose to carry in southern MO a couple months ago. He also had a Collinsville police officer on hand to do free fingerprinting.
Keilman1 Posted June 12, 2013 at 09:20 PM Author Posted June 12, 2013 at 09:20 PM Hey guys thanks for your comments!!! Our mission is to provide our students with excellent training. We will continue to use the NRA Basic Pistol Class for a good foundation of safety and fundamentals for our students. This class fulfills the basic educational requirements for students to obtain their Non-Resident Arizona & Florida CCW permits. We also believe that it will be recognized for eight hours of the sixteen hours as written in HB0183, although NOTHING is for sure yet. We have to wait to see what the ISP comes up with, and, we will need to be on their list of approved instructors. We do have a list of previous students who have contacted us and as soon as we know what's what, we will get the ball rolling. I will be submitting a complete 16 hour lesson plan that will fulfill the requirements as stated in HB0183 which we hope to include, safely drawing from a holster, and more on safe administrative handling of a firearm, since IL CCW Permit Holders will be required to do alot of this if they enter into a GFZ!!! Thanks Again! Hope to see you soon!
