Is Cullerton FORCED to take a concurrence vote if SB2193 passes the House? Could he just sit on it. Wait for FOID carry and go the home rule route?

It would be interesting to find out why 997 is no longer an option.
Forgive my skepticism, and my inability to accept silence as a response but it's no more acceptable than "because we said so." Those only work for an 8 year old. And please note, this bill solidifies my prediction (the red text in my signature.

TFC, not sure why anyone is saying that... the language of 997 seemz like it could be sold as a compromise bill considering the choices available at the moment.

Madigan has taken 997 off the table. He will not allow it to come to the floor for another vote. The bills have been narrowed down to Kwame Raoul's may-issue/home rule bill and Phelps shall-issue/statewide preemption on all gun laws bill. No cliff. One bill or the other.

I really don't know what is so hard about this to understand. We can gripe and complain about it all we want, but it will not change the facts. We have to continue fighting on all the fronts and make it better. Thanks, Molly, for keeping your coo and being patientl!
