starting tomorrow as the Illinois House passes a "shall issue" with state-wide preemption concealed carry Bill that will allow residents of Cook County, Chicago and Aurora to pick up an AR15 and take it on home without having to ask permission, sneak around or to tell anyone.

NO WAY there is not a backroom "deal" or some other "profanity filter" that is already agreed to that we dont know about....

 

But I hope for the GOOD people of Illinois and the NRA's sake you are right...

As far as Im concerned they should be opposing this bill LOUDLY...

 

I am an NRA member, Im sure many others agree....

 

I am not blaming TV for the corruption that is Illinois government, but I am disagreeing with the official neutral position....

This neutral is imho being between a rock and a hard place. It's hard to say "I'm for it" when it stinks so badly. It's also hard to say "I'm against it" when 'king madigan' is going to pass this or something even FAR worse =\

 

So I'll interpret this "neutral" as merely being between a rock and a hard place, and even adopt it myself. I am neutral :(

I really don't care what any of you think. I have spending entirely too mitch of my life trying to get this done. In Illinois political terms this is a really good bill and we are getting the lion's share of the negotiated win.

 

If you guys are too naive to see or understand that, it's your problem.

 

Go log on to any other forum that has done as much as this group has done to get a win.

 

Oh, wait, there isn't any!

 

So form your own group and go get your own bill passed. I spent my entire adult life hearing this would never happen in Illinois and frankly I could give a tinker's damn if I never hear another naysayer again.

 

You guys need to take your whining omeplace else, I am really sick of reading your woe is me messages.

Bud, I'm absolutely with you. I've certainly not been in this as long as you, but I count this preemptive shall issue bill as a MONSTROUS victory in Illinois. It is even better than a lot of States started out with, and still better than many have currently. All this whining is off-putting, and proves how narrow the scope of others' involvement and concern really is.

I hear ya Bud. Most of these young kids complaining probably won't even apply for a permit anyway. I think some of them get on here just to start BS.Look at all the new threads that have been started.

tis far better what we have won then i expected..i fully expected 32hrs training with 5 round limit on the CCW and may issue for crook or counties over 500k population---shall issue with premption..damn thats a winner winner chicken dinner...i will take it and i am happy

I own black rifles and extended mags and i will be able to drive in Chicago with them safely encased and in the trunk

That's not what i typed.You need to READ the post and not assume.

It just gets old hearing all these new people,and most of them are school children,join the forum only because the debate over CC was/is close to a vote highly possible to pass.Where have they been? Several mature members here have been working very hard for this time to come,only to have all these new guys start bitching about what has been accomplished. WE ARE HAPPY! PLEASE.....alot have come tooooo far too listen to a bunch that is here only to degrade.To me,i think we had A LOT more ANTI members on this forum than what i thought.And i think you are one of them too!

I think you arent very bright then. I moderate an IL gun owners page on facebook and spend an awful lot of time in this stuff. Again, you show yoyr lack of maturity because anyone that disagrees with your OPINION is now anti-gun also. You have a disgusting outlook and are an insulting person. You are doing exactly what others have been booted from this site for doing. Don't you feel like a big man hurling insults at others who don't agree with you! All those "kids" that just arent as smart as you.

 

Another thing, I have been here longer than yoyr username has been registered, just as a different name that I lost a password to. Don't give me this "new guy" crap. and you guys think having a Facebook page is doing important work and then wonder why we consider your opinions immaterial

 

One of the biggest problem Illinois is facing right now is too many of the residents are products of the Illinois public school system
