You can file witness slips now, we're being outnumbered as it stands. Let's turn this around, this is the bill we need to support. Unaccepatable to be outnumbered

That is true, and while we certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from filing witness slips if they wish, we haven't officially called for them either.

Illinois Carry is neutral on this bill.
do you guys mind if we file opponent? What about no position? What does the crew want us to file under?

If you wish to file a witness slip you should file according to your conscience. That's all we ever really ask on witness slips.

its just that I'm so hurt and confused that I had to ask. Forgive me for asking such a difficult question. I hope for the best.

I'm sorry if that wasn't the answer you hoped for. I understand your frustrations and, to some degree at least, I share them.

I guess the better answer is that we are not calling for witness slips since we're neutral, but we don't want to discourage anyone from expressing their feelings either.

How can you be neutral?

That is a really bad bill.

After years of fighting tooth & nail for our 2A rights, when finally faced with a concealed carry bill which stands a high likelihood of passing, for Illinois Carry to say it is "Neutral" speaks louder than every one of the thousands of comments that have been posted in the past 12 hours combined.

It doesn't matter. If Madigan wants it, he'll get it and this is what he wants. If he has the votes, he'll "allow" it to pass and none of us can do a thing about it

Then why did Madigan's "may" bill get destroyed in the house?

Ok well, I see I'm wrong...AGAIN. The constant agitator at work. Give yourself a nice, firm pat on the back because you're the proverbial straw. It's time for me to take an indefinite leave of absence. Well, actually it'll probably be permanent but never say never, right? At this point I don't care a whole lot as I have too much other crap to worry about like the fact that my I haven't slept in the past 48 hours and this crap is gonna keep going all summer and I simply do not have the time nor patience for this garbage piled on top of all of the rest of the crap. It's not like I've ever made a single substantive contribution anyway. Here's a tip, maybe, just maybe you should NOT agitate constantly and you will not anger so many people and end up on half of the members' ignore lists.

If that is in fact the official stance of this site, it's the best thing I have heard today in regards to the bill, although I wish it was a resounding oppose...

It just feels like we're giving up. Are we're just gonna take what they will let us have smile and say thank you Mr Madigain?
