I don't see anything about reciprocity or honoring other state's permits. But a non resident IL permit does cost $300. Guess I won't be carrying when I come back to visit.

No carry in, around, or in parking areas of government buildings, schools, daycares, courts, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, any public transportation, restaurant with more than 50% of revenue from alcohol, any public event that requires a permit, any public playground, any park, athletic area, or facility run by a city or park district or municipality, any property under Cook County forest preserve, any gaming facility, any amusement park, any museum, any zoo, any library, and any airport.

The prohibited places are enough for me to not support the bill...

 

Just as I suspected Phelps name on a BAD bill, no thanks we were sold out to the puppet strings...

This bill has two important features: shall issue and preemption. Anyone serious about rtc in IL will not oppose it.

 

Before you say "cliff" I'll remind you of what I've been saying all along... There is no cliff. They will pass a bill by June 9 even if it's Kwame's.

I have made it through only 1/4 of the bill and it is pure DOG **** !

 

I guess we all know where Brandon stands now.

Why should an out-of stater be forced to pay more (2x) for their Illinosi permit than a resident. I don't see how that can pass constitutional muster.
