HB3217 is penalty enhancements to UUW as it sits.   3271 is public health bill for MS.  Cullerton's bill is listed as 3271 in committee, but 2317 is also there and is Don Harmon's bill, a property tax bill.  I'm confused.

I wonder what recourse one would have if someone checked the verbal testimony thing then wasn't called? I should have done that, showed up to ask questions about C&R holders. I would give a 100% chance that I wouldn't get called to testify.

I believe there is no recourse.  I tried to give testimony once and was not called.

well, if he ends up using that shell bill for floor amendments, it's the end of the effect we can have on witness slips. Now we have phone and email.. no testimony on either side.

Just got back from my route ... Anyone care to give me the bullet points of what's happened thus far if anything?

It had to be SB2317 which was scheduled for committee this morning and is not related to us.  HB3217 is in House Rules so definitely not part of the Senate hearing today.

I don't understand why would witness slips have no effect ?

I am still going to listen intently for 3271, now the amendment is up on it that makes it a shell.  http://www.ilga.gov/...AID=12&Session=
