I know what we've heard in the past is no indication of future behavior, but on April 24, 2013, Sen. Duffy's Facebook page stated:

"On the senate floor now...the Sen. Bivins / Raoul Concealed Carry Gun bill is having problems gaining support from the Majority / Democrat party. The bill gives the whole state the right to carry - except - Cook County, which it adds many restrictions on. I will not support the bill. I won't support any bill other than full and complete constitutional carry bill. Illinois is the ONLY state in the U.S. that does not allow concealed carry in one form or another. A concealed carry bill will not be voted on today since this bill is not gaining enough support for them to call it."

This SHOULD be as clear as a person can be, right?

Thanks for the note. I am currently on the Senate floor.

I completely support the 2nd Amendment and have always passionately protected our rights on the Senate floor - no matter how much push back I have received from others in the Senate.

I will continue to protect our constitutional rights and have been adamantly opposing SB1002 which will make even classic antique rifles illegal. It is an emotional reaction to a senseless, violent act.

I was disappointed when Senator Murphy and "Leader" Radogno from our caucus supported the bill. I will do everything I can to express my disappointment to their bad votes which passed this bill out of committee.

Have a great Tuesday.

Thanks Dan. It is nice to see somebody in Springfield that stands by his words and constiuents. I live in Sen Raddono's district and I have expressed to her my disappointment in her vote in favor of the mag ban.

I am glad to have Dan Duffy and Dave Mcsweeney as my reps. It is refreshing to get honest responses that represent my views when I talk to them.

They're my guys as well and I'm pleased with them!!

They are my reps as well. The communications I have had with them both indicate how sick and tired they are of the way Springfield works.

I contacted Sen. Duffy's office this morning and impressed upon them to oppose SB1002 and thanked him for his continued support of our rights.

Just for clarity I'm not Dan Duffy- I just got an email from him and posted the response :P

LOL, it had me wondering. A few had responded to you, thought it was rather cool actually, had it been the case. How many PM's did you get?

Still a bit confused honestly
