TyGuy Posted May 19, 2013 at 12:40 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 12:40 PM Looks like they are starting to understand our distrust of the government when it comes to universal background checks and warnings to stay vigilant against tyranny. I give them credit for saying as much, and I hope to watch them continue to move in the right direction in the future. Mr. Fife Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:06 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:06 PM Piers Morgan is an incredibly stupid man. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
johnsxdm Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:13 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:13 PM After watching that, I can only conclude that the world must be coming to an end ! Piers doing a 180, just WOW !

Piers doing a 180, just WOW !I wouldn't quite say a 180. He's not there yet. At least he's starting to understand we're not all crazy tin foil hat wearing maniacs for our beliefs and that is a great start.

TyGuy Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:50 PM Author Posted May 19, 2013 at 01:50 PM I'm not saying we all need to kiss Piers Morgan merely that perhaps he will slowly change positions.
johnsxdm Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:03 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:03 PM I'm not saying we all need to kiss Piers Morgan merely that perhaps he will slowly change positions. Exactly. Someone who was so one sided and would not even listen to the other sides view to all of a sudden say "well maybe the gun nuts are right", there just might be hope he's changing.
oneshot Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:27 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:27 PM It's silly that these people have to wait for an example of some kind of behavior to occur, that is actually detected and reported, in order for them to believe that a certain group of human beings who have no other association than their employment can indeed work against the interests of another who because of their job description are supposed to serve those they are victimizing. Do they think that humanity is divided into groups with either a black heart or white heart and that for whichever you possess you are inherently evil or inherently good and you can only pursue certain occupations depending on which one you have? What incredible naivete!

oneshot Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:30 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:30 PM We'll see how long this shock lasts with him, he may simply become apathetic about the threat, just as he's apathetic about the possibility of violence coming to his doorstep and thus a need for self defense now.
oneshot Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:38 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:38 PM I will say, this actually makes me glad that Piers did make such a big deal about it, because now that he's backtracking on part of his argument, it makes a bigger impact for our side.
BobPistol Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:50 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:50 PM Incredible. Maybe he may see the light.
McCroskey Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:58 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 02:58 PM Piers is a slimeball, the only reason he's bring int up is because it was the AP, and he's a journalist. He's nothing but a self serving hypocrite. Next week he'll be trying to explain why the 2nd Amendment is different from Freedom of the Press and doing it with a straight face.
skinnyb82 Posted May 19, 2013 at 04:31 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 04:31 PM Piers is not a journalist. He THINKS he is but does a journalist sit as a regular judge on "America's Got Talent"? Nope. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2

Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2 Agreed. The unfortunate truth is that far too many Americans (who may vote) will listen to anyone who appears on a screen in a suit and treat them as though they were if presented as such.
Jim Smyth Posted May 19, 2013 at 06:50 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 06:50 PM Since I cant swear I guess someone should send Piers a pair of these! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crystal-Rhinestone-Flip-Flops-Size-9-Hot-Pink-/111074732663?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&hash=item19dc91ea77

Besides the fact that he is patently wrong, the 2nd doesn't say we have to show or justify it being used to keep and bear it... I was under the impression that the US armed forces have been using the AR platform for decades to defend this nation, but apparently I'm wrong...
Mealtime Posted May 20, 2013 at 07:07 AM Posted May 20, 2013 at 07:07 AM Piers is no better than us for us to be happy that he's changing views. A rich man is no better than a poor man. Who cares if he's changing his game stance because ultimately it's all about ratings and money. Just like these politicians who instantly switch views and votes from a hefty lobbyist check with a bunch of zero's. he was kicked out of his own country and now he's here causing high blood pressure for us. I bet the big pharmaceutical companies have set up this rig he's got going

If someone that reaches thousands weekly with their tv show stops pushing gun control, or, better yet, starts sharing some pro gun sentiments it's a good thing for us. Unfortunately many Americans, voting Americans, get their news from a very limited number of sources and don't bother looking at issues from several sides. As such e talking heads on TV wield a good deal of power.

Which is just as good of an argument as, "an AR-15 can't be used in self-defense". Even if his claim were true, that doesn't mean that it can't be used for it. Besides, aren't all law enforcement shooting in self-defense or in defense of another when they open fire? If not, I'd like to know about it.
junglebob Posted May 20, 2013 at 02:18 PM Posted May 20, 2013 at 02:18 PM Wow, Are pigs flying? Maybe we get HB997 passed this week in its original form.
