Looks like they are starting to understand our distrust of the government when it comes to universal background checks and warnings to stay vigilant against tyranny.  I give them credit for saying as much, and I hope to watch them continue to move in the right direction in the future.    We'll see.

Nope, morgan just plays whatever keeps him in money. He needs to stay in his elite world.

I wouldn't quite say a 180. He's not there yet.  At least he's starting to understand we're not all crazy tin foil hat wearing maniacs for our beliefs and that is a great start.

yet piers had  bob costas on his show spouting off the other night that no ar-15 has been used for self defense.. apparently theyd never heard of the kid in texas who used his fathers ar-15 to protect himself and his sister.

I'm not saying we all need to kiss Piers Morgan merely that perhaps he will slowly change positions.

Exactly. Someone who was so one sided and would not even listen to the other sides view to all of a sudden say "well maybe the gun nuts are right", there just might be hope he's changing.

It's silly that these people have to wait for an example of some kind of behavior to occur, that is actually detected and reported, in order for them to believe that a certain group of human beings who have no other association than their employment can indeed work against the interests of another who because of their job description are supposed to serve those they are victimizing.  Do they think that humanity is divided into groups with either a black heart or white heart and that for whichever you possess you are inherently evil or inherently good and you can only pursue certain occupations depending on which one you have?  What incredible naivete!

At least once a week if you watch cam and company, in his segment of the citizen defense files at the end of each show, at least once a week he is speaking of an AR15 being used in self defense.

We'll see how long this shock lasts with him, he may simply become apathetic about the threat, just as he's apathetic about the possibility of violence coming to his doorstep and thus a need for self defense now.

I will say, this actually makes me glad that Piers did make such a big deal about it, because now that he's backtracking on part of his argument, it makes a bigger impact for our side.

Piers is a slimeball, the only reason he's bring int up is because it was the AP, and he's a journalist. He's nothing but a self serving hypocrite. Next week he'll be trying to explain why the 2nd Amendment is different from Freedom of the Press and doing it with a straight face.

Piers is not a journalist.  He THINKS he is but does a journalist sit as a regular judge on "America's Got Talent"?  Nope.

Agreed.  The unfortunate truth is that far too many Americans (who may vote) will listen to anyone who appears on a screen in a suit and treat them as though they were if presented as such.

Besides the fact that he is patently wrong, the 2nd doesn't say we have to show or justify it being used to keep and bear it...

I was under the impression that the US armed forces have been using the AR platform for decades to defend this nation, but apparently I'm wrong...

Piers is no better than us for us to be happy that he's changing views. A rich man is no better than a poor man. Who cares if he's changing his game stance because ultimately it's all about ratings and money. Just like these politicians who instantly switch views and votes from a hefty lobbyist check with a bunch of zero's. he was kicked out of his own country and now he's here causing high blood pressure for us. I bet the big pharmaceutical companies have set up this rig he's got going
