DoktorPaimon Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:26 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:26 AM Just spotted this on the door of the AMC in Skokie at Village Crossing mall. They know its coming. Eta: I spoke with the officer inside. He didn't even know about the sign. When I mentioned it he started laughing and said "this state isn't going to be ready for anything."
Livewire18 Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:30 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:30 AM AMC.... noted. Just one more company I will no longer patronize. Just like portillos and autozone.
Dodge4090 Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:30 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:30 AM Their are a few of those in my town at random locations. That's what happens when you border Missouri I guess. Sent from my Galaxy S3 with AOKP ROM on Tapatalk.

Indigo Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:42 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:42 AM Time for the "NO GUNS = NO MONEY" cards!
Livewire18 Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:44 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:44 AM I found this site. Might be a good site to keep bookmarked. http://friendorfoe.us
depaulhifi Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:03 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:03 AM I came in expecting it to be on the "Chicago city limits" sign
DoktorPaimon Posted May 18, 2013 at 05:25 AM Author Posted May 18, 2013 at 05:25 AM I know that that theater has a significant vandalism problem. Does anyone know if any other states have had to struggle with what happens when a sign is missing, defaced, fell off, blocked, or otherwise not visible?
Stevepk Posted May 18, 2013 at 12:08 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 12:08 PM Air Mobility Command. The Air Force's cargo and tanker fleet.
TTIN Posted May 18, 2013 at 12:37 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 12:37 PM AMC.... noted. Just one more company I will no longer patronize. Just like portillos and autozone.I haven't patronized their business in years.Prices too high, and their movie choices sux.

moon Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:54 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:54 PM We need a sticky thread somewhere of biz that are not gun friendly.... There's an app for that! You can report businesses: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aliveonline.gunfreezone Description from maker: Description Join other citizens as you report and find which stores are gun free zones and which are firearm friendly throughout the United States. If you feel strongly about guns and the 2nd Amendment, you need to let stores know where you stand. By sharing a store's preference on guns, you can take part in keeping people safe, avoid unintentional crime, and educate the public on the real impact firearms have on their lives. All our data about gun free zones is contributed by people like you. This means that you may not see any reports in your area yet.Help make the app better for everyone by reporting on the locations you know about. Thanks!
AlphaKoncepts aka CGS Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:59 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:59 PM Sadly this is the theater I usually take my kids. I will have to look for another establishment. I will not support a business which does not support my right to defend myself and my family. I think once the carry becomes a reality I will begin sending out letters.
POAT54 Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:05 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:05 PM Time for the "NO GUNS = NO MONEY" cards! Absolutely, would it be helpful to go to these places enforce with "NO GUNS = NO MONEY" before June 9th?
Indigo Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:47 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:47 PM Wouldn't hurt. Management needs to be made aware that CCW is coming (eventually) and that there is price to be paid for being a gun free zone. (Other than having some nut job choose their theater for a mass shooting rather than the other theaters that are NOT GFZs)
Sweeper13 Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:01 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:01 PM Its showing Woodloft as a positive. I swear I seen that name as an proponet on the slips the other day. Maybe they made a mistake when filed his slip, now there showing themselves in the proper way. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

22cal Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:13 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:13 PM When someone sees a "No Weapons Allowed" sign in a movie theater I think the manager or owners need to be informed of the Colorado theater shooting and how the shooter singled out that theater cause it was the only one with a no weapons allowed sign. There where theaters closer to him but they allowed weapons!
Nic Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:24 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:24 PM They have a similar sign at the Skokie Old Orchard Theatre which is owned by Regal. AMC is "gun-free" across the entire chain. It is a corporate policy, like BWW's policy.
mikew Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:25 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:25 PM Skokie no wonder .Whatever that means. ??

Drylok Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:31 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:31 PM I don't plan to pay attention to signs. Buy a good IWB, raise the clips all the way up and screw em.
cbrown1311 Posted May 18, 2013 at 05:29 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 05:29 PM I use this when traveling https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/posted!-carry-list-anti-gun/id530004581?mt=8 Not sure if that's been posted or not but it's a neat little app and I've already added a few locations myself. Works great and you can search based on all sorts of criteria. Plus it's only 99 cents which I'll gladly pay to support someone trying to help CCWers.

Double-J Posted May 18, 2013 at 06:06 PM Posted May 18, 2013 at 06:06 PM Skokie no wonder . The Mayor is a member of "MAIG" and Lou Lang's office is located there. Both are not friendly to the 2A
