IH8IL Posted May 17, 2013 at 02:56 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 02:56 PM Too far for me, gat is like an hour and a half.
MrMonarch Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:02 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:02 PM Any word on FMJ 9mm at GAT? Stock or prices?
Jeffrey Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:09 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:09 PM What a rip off. 1000 count case of those used to go for 250. I hope this is the worst that its going to get...
Patriots & Tyrants Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:14 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:14 PM I havnt seen FMJ 9mm at gat for a while. Also curious if they have any.

Mike60634 Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:33 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:33 PM Just at GAT yesterday. No FMJ 9mm. Cheapest 9mm is pictured above. I go to GAT about every 10 day to shoot. I hate to admit it but their prices are about 10% higher than the current fair price. Not to far away, cabelas has been getting better at stocking the shelves. It's still hit or miss there though. scough Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:34 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:34 PM You guys must have missed the Midway 1,000 rnd boxes for just over $100 earlier this week. Mine is scheduled to delivery today! I'll finally be able to test out the Shield.

Mike60634 Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:56 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 03:56 PM I hate to sound stupid, but how can you order ammo online in Illinois? I thought you needed to show your FOID card in order to purchase. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

However most retailers won't sell/ship to Chicago and some won't touch Cook as a whole.

Afraid not...there is a new standard in pricing. Simple economics...sell at the highest prices until no one buys then reduce slightly. These prices have jumped soooooooooooo far out there that any roll back will seem inconsequencial. This is the new standard and if people keep buying at these prices then guess what? Yup higher prices. supply & demand

r4ndy Posted May 17, 2013 at 04:47 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 04:47 PM Supply seems to be picking up. Unless you are desperate I wouldn't pay over $32 per 100 for 9MM. Bass Pro in Gurnee and Dick's Sports in Arl Hts have had multiple shipments of 9 over the last 45 days. I have been hit or miss on my timing, but their prices are $15/$16 per 50 of FMJ various brands. I also picked up some at Cabela's in OH at this price two weeks ago. As far as online goes, I have bought from a few places, but Cabela's only takes IL orders on the phone. My friends in WI do not have this issue cough*paypalthem*cough
xmikex Posted May 17, 2013 at 09:58 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 09:58 PM It's pricey but it's also top of the line defensive / carry ammo.
BobPistol Posted May 17, 2013 at 10:26 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 10:26 PM Meh. I'll take my chances at Wally World.
LightMyFire Posted May 17, 2013 at 11:15 PM Author Posted May 17, 2013 at 11:15 PM I actually thought that was a great price. Esp considering you can't find 9mm anywhere let aloe a top quality hp.
Houndawg Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:41 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 01:41 AM You guys are comparing this price to the price of FMJ. This aint FMJ. This is the Ranger SXT JHP. $33 for 50 is nowhere near out of line. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

BobPistol Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:54 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:54 AM GAT Guns is a place I'll go to their range, buy a gun, maybe even buy gun parts, or other accessories but not buy ammo.
Sharz96 Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:57 AM Posted May 18, 2013 at 02:57 AM We went to Gurnee Bass Pro to shoot tonight and discovered they 9mm. We got two of the last three boxes of 250 they had (one box limit each) at $70 each. I feel like I won $1,000 in a lottery!
LightMyFire Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:41 AM Author Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:41 AM Just so people understand these are hollow point rounds. Before the ammo shortage these were selling for $30 a box so it is a slight increase but still a fantastic deal. These are not the winchester white box found at walmart. For example the 9mm hollow point rounds at walmart are $20 for 20 rounds federal hp. Is the picture not showing up for some people?

It's listed on the "Best choices for self defense ammo" FAQ. It meets the FBI standards for penetration and expansion. http://www.ar15.com/ammo/project/self_defense_ammo_FAQ/index.htm#9mm Apparently no one bothers to read and would rather complain that they can find 9mm WOLF / Winchester White Box for cheaper? tkroenlein Posted May 21, 2013 at 01:57 AM Posted May 21, 2013 at 01:57 AM If it was in my town I would have broke the bank buying it and passed what I didn't need to my friends and they too would have been giddy to stock up on SXT's.
LightMyFire Posted May 25, 2013 at 08:53 AM Author Posted May 25, 2013 at 08:53 AM Lol I'm glad a few people understood , btw they reduced the price to $29.99 a box
