Double P Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:52 AM Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:52 AM Infrequent poster in before everyone. I've been reading a lot and posting very little over the last few months. Here's hoping all the gloom and doom of today proves false in the coming days.
Double P Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:52 AM Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:52 AM Well, before almost everyone. Tyguy beat me by one minute.
TyGuy Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:55 AM Posted May 15, 2013 at 02:55 AM Contrary to popular belief I don't sit here watching so that I can be first after Mauser. I just like to help out and go bald from listening to the ILGA

Livewire18 Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:36 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:36 PM It's been way to quiet in here today. I take there has been nothing from the senate?
mauserme Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:37 PM Author Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:37 PM No, the Senate is delayed for some reason. Maybe their too busy answering their phones ...
skinnyb82 Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:41 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 04:41 PM This campaign is gonna make the campaign we waged during the lame duck gun ban attempt look like nothing. Then we got Sen. "Airborne Ranger" Munoz's confiscatory mag ban bill which I counted contains about 7 constitutional violations (and I freely invite them to violate all of them and come arrest me if they're stupid enough to pass it...I wouldn't mind a couple million bucks). Ditto. From the information I saw Munoz served with 82nd Airborne. If he went to Ranger school and got a Ranger Tab, he still is not an Airborne Ranger. 75th Ranger Rgt is completely different. Livewire18 Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:45 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:45 PM Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldnt 101st be Airborne Ranger?
skinnyb82 Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:47 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:47 PM If he didn't go through RIP then he is not a Ranger, plain and simple. I have a buddy who was in the 82nd (with s CIB Badge unlike Munoz) and had made numerous vulgar comments about Chicago Machine pols and horses...and other farm animals. I'm gonna pass the whole claiming to be a Ranger thing on to my buddy. I bet that vets of the 82nd are onto this but it can't hurt. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
TyGuy Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:49 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:49 PM I don't care if he has a dang Medal of Honor if he is trying to keep me from exercising my rights he is not my friend in the legislature.
mauserme Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:49 PM Author Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:49 PM Ahem.... ...trying to work here
wazzle Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:52 PM Posted May 15, 2013 at 05:52 PM Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldnt 101st be Airborne Ranger? No. He could have served with 82nd or 101st which would classify him as Airborne. Going to Ranger School is just a leadership class and does not make him a Ranger, it makes him Ranger qualified. The only path to actual 75th Ranger Regiment is going through what used to be called RIP, Ranger Indoctrination Program, or current, RASP, Ranger Assement Program. After passing this, you get assigned to one of three Battalions. 75th Ranger are a pretty exclusive group with less than 2000 Rangers in the Regiment.
