mauserme Posted March 17, 2013 at 03:25 PM Posted March 17, 2013 at 03:25 PM HB1157 hasn't seen too much movement yet, but Elderberry was kind enough to set up a spreadsheet ready for more action if and when the time arrives. C0untZer0 Posted March 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM Posted March 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM It would be nice to be able to extract the e-mail addresses of the no votes so we can concentrate our e-mails on them. Some of them are hard-core Madiganites, but some of them are the votes were contending for right?
blazzinbird Posted March 18, 2013 at 01:44 AM Posted March 18, 2013 at 01:44 AM 1157 now has 10 amendments
Elderberry Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:02 AM Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:02 AM 10 amendments have been filed but only # 9 has went to the floor for a vote.... The other nine are still sitting in the rules committee...
blazzinbird Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:17 AM Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:17 AM Why was 9 sent back to rules?
Elderberry Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:22 AM Posted March 18, 2013 at 02:22 AM Don't know. I didn't watch the floor debate that day... Mauserme probably knows. He'll be along sooner or later...

Some of them are hard-core Madiganites, but some of them are the votes were contending for right? And some know the bill is a non-starter and are maintaining concealment/cover to stay out of Madigan's (and others) sights. Like when Todd asked in a post to lay off a particular legislator.
mauserme Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:10 AM Author Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:10 AM Why was 9 sent back to rules? Of the 10 amendments filed on HB1157, only Amend 9 had a vote and it lost. The others are still in Rules.

C0untZer0 Posted March 18, 2013 at 12:41 PM Posted March 18, 2013 at 12:41 PM I know it doesn't make any difference to the puppet-master and his troup of sock puppets but it makes me feel good to send them an e-mail this morning I sent them all an e-mail this morning titled "Please Stop the Gun Control Madness" .A 37-year-old man was beaten to death on a platform of the Green Line late Saturday morning. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-authorities-man-beaten-to-death-on-green-line-platform-20130316,0,6398362.story Another man was stabbed to death in Streamwood: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-03-16/news/chi-gas-station-clerk-fatally-stabbed-in-streamwood-20130316_1_gas-station-clerk-streamwood-surveillance-images Denying Illinois citizens their constitutional right to self-defense is a civil rights violation and every day it results in the victimization of more and more Illinois citizens. Your myopic fixation on "gun violence" and denial of people's right to self-defense sends the message that only gun violence matters and other deadly violence is OK with you. Please drop your opposition to Brandon Phelp's Personal and Family Protection Act - HB997. And please stop creating gun control bills and gun control amendments. I just feel better for having sent it

Xwing Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:52 PM Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:52 PM I know it doesn't make any difference to the puppet-master and his troup of sock puppets but it makes me feel good to send them an e-mail this morning I frequently send the freedom haters (polite but firm) emails. I doubt they really care; but enough public opposition would probably get a few to change. They just follow the political winds.
C0untZer0 Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:56 PM Posted March 18, 2013 at 03:56 PM The only e-mail that bounced for me was<repcurrie@earthlink.net>: I'm going to retest the Deb Mell one specifically. I know we're trying to verify the e-mails we currently have listed on our spreadsheet.

C0untZer0 Posted March 19, 2013 at 06:19 AM Posted March 19, 2013 at 06:19 AM Capitalization doesn't matter with e-mail addresses as far as I know but I sent an e-mail to Currie with a capital R and it bounced. Deb Mell's e-mail address of DMell@hds.ilga.gov did not bounce for me.
