The Combat Shotgun



Sunday, October 28, 2012 10am - 2pm (Classroom)

& Sunday, November 4, 2012 9am - 2pm (Range)

 

URI's Craig Lawrence and TICTOC Team's Raul Martinez have teamed up to provide an exclusive

Combat Shotgun Class taught by instructors with real-world experience on the battlefield and in the street.



 

The Combat Shotgun is for students who already have the fundamental skills of long gun marksmanship and want to learn how to apply those skills in combat.

It is most appropriate for those who are starting to get serious about the tactical shotgun as a method of defense.



  • Day 1 will be indoors, building Shotgun skills, gaining insights into subjects like Safe Handling, Patterning, Ammunition and Ancillary Equipment Selection, Situational and Environmental Awareness, Liability Hazards, Mental Conditioning, and much more.

  • Day 2 will be spent on the range, developing the student's weapon handling and shooting skills. Topics include Zeroing, Stance, Single and Multiple Target Engagements from 5 to 25 Meters, Targets at Close Range, Speed & Tactical Reloading, Tactical Problem-Solving, Proper use of cover and more.

Required Equipment:

 

Day 1 classroom:

  • Unloaded duty-type 12 ga shotgun (pump shotgun optimal)
  • pen and notebook
  • 12 ga dummy rounds (instructors will have some for sale)

Day 2 Range:

  • Duty-type, 12 gauge shotgun (pump shotgun optimal)
  • 30 rounds 12g Slugs
  • 30 rounds 12g 00 Buckshot
  • 75 rounds 12g Birdshot
  • Saddle-type ammo holder/speed belt holder
  • Sling (optional)
  • Hat, Eye Protection and Ear Protection
  • Water, bagged lunch and snacks
  • Sunscreen and bug spray if applies

Registration Requirements:

There are no pre-requisite requirements for this class, however pre-registration is required.

Law Enforcement and military discounts are available; just ask.
