On the topic of having a super majority for passing a good bill for right to carry, go big or go home! We may not have a chance to make small 'changes' in the future. As my dad always says, you can do it right, or you can do it again. I'd rather get it done right, than gamble with unknown political weather of the future.

The state realizes the LE retired carry program is a money maker $75 for one type of handgun $150 for both every year. They are about to take control away from the mtu training units.

Do any other states charge a yearly fee of $75 or $150 and require live fire qualification every year to have a right to carry firearms permit ? Illinois is a joke.

Its $100 for both, my dad has his.
A family friend who is a retired GA state trooper pays $10/year for the same exact right.

Pretty soon, the cops will have cellular credit card machines at protests so you can pay your "right to free speech" fee. Actually, those machines can do double duty when the pull you over for a traffic stop and you can pay for a license not to be searched without a warrant. Handy. And profitable for the state. More, if RTC ever passes here, they could extract a "duty to inform" fee as well. Unless of course you were open carrying, then that wouldn't be needed.
