kurt555gs Posted August 20, 2012 at 10:53 PM Posted August 20, 2012 at 10:53 PM The postman brought a present today. A Simply Rugged pancake holster and two magazine pouches for my FNH FNP-9 USG. I have pretty much settled on the FNP-9 aa my standard carry gun ( outside of Illinois ). My Kimber 1911 is too expensive to lose. My big bore Ruger revolvers are too heavy. My little Ruger LCR is too small for more than 2 fingers on the butt. So, the FNP-9 is it. Very reliable, polymer frame so it's reasonably light. And, this is the smallest pistol that I am comfortable shooting. Also, it's not too expensive, so if I drop or lose it, I can just go buy another. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nuid5yu3kig8fnx/2012-08-20-0246.jpg I really like Simply Rugged holsters. I also like the pancake design as it molds flat and doesn't "print". I HATE IWB holsters. All in all, a good day.
milq Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:08 PM Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:08 PM I'm with you on dislike of IWB holsters and on loving Simply Rugged gear! I'm going to have him build one for my commander one day (hopefully) soon.
kurt555gs Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:22 PM Author Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:22 PM I have a Simply Rugged Pancake of my Kimber Super Carry Pro. Same as the 1911 commander. I also got 2 magazine pouches for 1911 magazines with this order to match my other holster.
kurt555gs Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:30 PM Author Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:30 PM I'm not as accurate with the FNP-9 as I am with my 1911, however it is much better than my Ruger LCR. 7 yards, 16 rounds, one handed: https://www.dropbox....-08-16-0230.jpg Last Friday.
Tompo Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:35 PM Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:35 PM Nice holster. can I ask, what does a holster like that cost??
kurt555gs Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:50 PM Author Posted August 20, 2012 at 11:50 PM Nice holster. can I ask, what does a holster like that cost?? $70.00 the magazine pouches are $25.00 each. They have snaps on the flaps ( reverse side ) so you don't have to feed them through your belt. Also, notice the leather flap on the body side to protect you from being poked by the safety.
