I doubt that either will make it through the house, but there are "moderates" there that have lots of money and weak knees.

Signing onto this bill would be suicide for most Southern and MANY rural democrats, but I really don't think the democratic party cares about them anymore. This won't go anywhere in the house and will be held up by the Obama campaign as republicans refusing to "keep dangerous people from buying guns and ammo".
