Got your attention there, didn't I.

Everyone living outside Cook County that has a State Rep or Senator that is a democrat needs to lean on them to announce that they are leaving the Democratic Party and joining the Republican Party.

That would mean that the State House and Senate would immediately be under Republican control.

Think about it for a moment.....what a John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage momentthat would be.

Could you imagine the shock in the Chicago Districts and among the PTB?

Seriously, the legalization of dueling would end political pandering and solve political corruption in the State

They would hold an immediate re-districting scheme and cut Chicago and Cook into another 50 districts and put democrats in there.  This is EXACTLY what they would do, even if it sounds stupid at first.

They don't have to leave the party per se.  They can  an run as a D and then once elected declare as an independent.

The sad reality is that in the Nation of Madiganistan all of the campaign dollars are controlled by the democrat party (controlled 100 percent by Madigan) and money trumps ideals in the state of Madiganistan.

I wise it were otherwise but that's the way it is in Crook County which is all that counts.

You're exactly right Lou.  The ONLY way to "relieve" ourselves of King Mike is with dollar bills.  Sadly, no one seems to recognize that fact.....

I think a lot of us recognize the fact, the real problem is we don't have as many of those dollar bills as he does.

I agree.

We could have them, though, is what really makes me sad.  However, I've had this same (fruitless....) discussion here before, and won't tax myself or the rest of you with it again.  All I will say, is that until we come up with some REAL money, we're stuck with King Mike.
