I'll be buying at a shop locally but It's my understanding that good ole' crook county and Oak Park limit magazines to 10 rounds. How are folks handling purchasing new when the manufacturer ships with mags you are not supposed to have? Are shops willing to open the case and replace with 10 rounders or without magazines prior to delivery?

When I purchased a handgun off gunbroker, I asked the seller (who owned a large gun shop) if he would swap out the magazine with a 10 rounder. He laughed and asked "why the heck would you want to do that"? I told him I lived in Chicago and he started laughing more. He was in Arizona and said he doesn't sell or carry 10 rounders. Starting to see the picture here? I went to a local area gunshop who gladly exchanged my new 17 round mag for a 10.
