Anyone know for sure if the session will be extended?
Sorry for the rant!

We can set up a blue-ribbon commission and even appoint a Czar.
About 300,000,000 should cover it.

Yes. I'm predicting that Chicago/Cook county will be sold out in order to get "shall issue".

The resolution that you speak of was never passed, simply passed out of committee. So, technically, the due date has passed. I'm assured that the holdup is just the volume of work being done by staff in the Capitol and the other issues that are still in play. Not a good answer, but the one I was given. I still have hopes and have been told that the report will come out before session is over and that there will be time for action on the bill.
But it's still not done much for my blood pressure!! We'll see what happens.

The Roman Empire fell due to a large, corrupt government, overspending, an overextended military, insecure borders, and the illegal immigration of Goths, barbarians (anyone who was not educated), and religious fanatics. Sound familiar?

I mean no offense to you AB, nor those who you recieved your information from, but if that's the excuse you're getting about why the report is not out, then someone is feeding you (and the rest of us.....) a line of BS. The meetings' done and notes collected, it should take one staffer maybe, maybe, 4 hrs. to put that report together and get it out the door. Someone is stalling, plain and simple. Which is more of the same, seems to me.....

In any case, since the deadline has long since passed, it is pretty clear they are not going to make the deadline on the report. There is no penalty to anyone for not making the deadline either. It is like the 30 day rule for FOID cards. You make all the rule you want but if there are no penalties for failure to abide by the rules, just how are they to be enforced?

That delay probably cost RTC some serious points. A weakness exists somewhere and we would do well to address it before another effort is launched.

Getting pulled off of the task force to work on something else? Interesting timing.
Something smells and it not the provolone I had for lunch.

Yes, yes, it most definately stinks. I could postulate on the reasons for the smell, but I'm afraid they wouldn't be very well recieved.......
