My brother is a member of a local American Legion post.

They have a number of M1's that are frequently going out of service.

They are having difficulties with the gas block (my term) losing pressure thus not cycling the next round.

I've worked with some Police honor guards that are currently using their AR's and blanks.

I'd like to let him use my AR for firing detail duty.

Anyone have any experience using a Blank Firing Adapter with an AR?

I've found a couple different types, but am unsure of functionality.

and another under AR/M16 here

Thoughts, opinions and suggestions for a local source for blanks?

Thanks in advance

I have extensive experiebnce using BFAs with MILES gear. The one on Ranger Joe's ad is identical to the Army issue

But, it is obvious when mounted on the weapon and that looks funky

I frequently was NCOIC of Honor Guards including firing parties using the M16 (AR15) rifles. If you would like some help teaching a firing party to use the AR15 without using a blank firing adapter, I am retired and normally bored out of my skull and available. I am a retired Army 1SG

send me an email using my profile

here's blanks:

5.56mm blank
