TFC Posted May 10, 2012 at 11:43 PM Posted May 10, 2012 at 11:43 PM What I wouldn't give for a good old fashioned "Hogan's Alley."

Glock21 Posted May 11, 2012 at 02:05 AM Author Posted May 11, 2012 at 02:05 AM Nope - that's a student.
Davey Posted May 11, 2012 at 12:51 PM Posted May 11, 2012 at 12:51 PM I'd probably break my face on those tires.
RandyP Posted May 11, 2012 at 01:38 PM Posted May 11, 2012 at 01:38 PM Curiousity on my part - at the 1:00 mark the student rotates and fires close range at a target roughly 90 degrees from the previous course layout with another person standing at his 3:00 and another a bit further away at his 2:00? Perspective is hard to judge on a videotape but it sure looks like one person gets swept by the loaded pistol and another is potentially in the line of fire?
Uncle Harley Posted May 11, 2012 at 05:14 PM Posted May 11, 2012 at 05:14 PM Curiousity on my part - at the 1:00 mark the student rotates and fires close range at a target roughly 90 degrees from the previous course layout with another person standing at his 3:00 and another a bit further away at his 2:00? Perspective is hard to judge on a videotape but it sure looks like one person gets swept by the loaded pistol and another is potentially in the line of fire? I think that is an illusion, the camera is on his head he deffantly swivels his head in those directions, but if you notice, there is not pistol in line of view which would indicate to me either it was pointed down or had been previously re- holstered.
Glock21 Posted May 11, 2012 at 05:57 PM Author Posted May 11, 2012 at 05:57 PM No, he turned and broke 180 with the gun in his hand, but he was in Position Sul (muzzel pointed straight down at the ground.) He used the same technique moving from target to target. Exactly what he may have to do in public some day should he need to draw his pistol for self-defense. ...and the target was actually faced the same way as the rest of the targets, and it was placed two feet forward of the firing line.
RandyP Posted May 11, 2012 at 06:46 PM Posted May 11, 2012 at 06:46 PM `thanks for the clarification - without pausing the video the turning got a little confusing to me - after going frame by frame I now see that the cameraman was at the shooter's 3:00, not in front of him.
