Being I am a new resident of Joliet I really wish I could attend. My wedding just so happens to be the same day and something tells me my fiance might not be too happy if I go   . Although I could always ask her...

WOW!! What some people will do to skip out on a Town Hall Meeting! (just kidding)

Congratulations on the wedding!!

And for all those that are going to the meeting - afterwards I understand Johny is throwing a party or a big shindig or something!

Crime is actually less in places where people own guns. Washington, D.C., is a case in point. It has the strictest gun laws, but who has the highest crime rate in the country? Washington, D.C.- LUKE SCOTT

We will be needing some extra hands and feet to help unload and set up equipment for this meeting and to staff the IllinoisCarry table.
We will begin setting up at 5:30 or so.  Any volunteers??

Hope there's a huge crowd of folks trying to learn how they can help! I'm in Des Moines, IA for Brownells gunsmith career fair until Saturday, but I'll support you with positive thoughts!
Good night Chesty, wherever you are.

It was a good evening.  IllinoisCarry was well-received! So was our message.  Great folks, very interested and very intent.  They have a State Senator who is "still open to hearing more about this issue" - I suggested every single one of them call the good Senator and schedule an appointment with him for next week!

Wouldn't that be something to walk into on Monday morning?!

I couldn't make this one due to finances.  I'm looking forward to hearing a trip report from those who were there.  The belly of the beast is Chicago.  Remember when Elwood and Jake made their getaway from Joliet ?
