The argument that we're historically bound to guns is antiquated. Even as we remember history, at some point we must move on and shape policies that are in a modern society's best interests. Voting is a right; gun ownership is a privilege.

That was a worthwhile read. If memory serves many of Californias gun laws were spurred on by the black panthers in the 60's and 70's through their open carrying and use of firearms correct?
