willxjcherokee Posted March 19, 2012 at 01:10 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 01:10 AM Gotta love some hi point! American made quality! I mean, seriously how much more gun can you get for 150 bucks. They seem to work fine they just are clunky and heavy
ike Posted March 19, 2012 at 01:33 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 01:33 AM better than nothing .cheap gun that goes bang. what more could you want ?
kurt555gs Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:02 AM Author Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:02 AM I think one of those IWB holsters with the Crosses on the waistband clips would be the perfect compliment to this fine piece of hardware. They would go together like beans and cornbread. * Carthago delenda est *

sirflyguy Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:20 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:20 AM The guy I buy guns from sells a lot of Hipoints to police officers for hard-use personal guns. As for that beautiful Sig that garandfan posted a pic of, I love my P229 SAS!
bob Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:26 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:26 AM I have a 45 cal HP pistol. It is a lot of fun to shoot. It is a monster though, size wise and only has an 8 round mag. It came with both conventional and ghost ring sights. I might put the ghost rings on and shoot bullseye with it one time. Should be a hoot. I will use Wolf steel cased ammo too. I don't recall off hand what Kenny charged me for it. Might have been < $200. Some times you buy stuff just for the fun factor.
kurt555gs Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:33 AM Author Posted March 19, 2012 at 02:33 AM When I carry an automatic, this is what I prefer, a Kimber Super Carry Pro (Custom Shop) http://media.kimberamerica.iostudio.com/uploads/product-image/Super-Carry-Pro_detail-1.jpg I know, it's American made, and old technology, but I like it. For my modern automatics, I am an FN fan.
bornhunter04 Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:06 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:06 AM http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/images/380_polymer.jpg High Point CF-380. Now I need to find a clip on IWB holster worthy of this fine $149.00 firearm. Just kidding. Man i just got rid of mine! I bought it while in college, because well i was broke! But once i got a job i quickly graduated to glock! The hi point did shoot surprisingly well though. I did compare it to my 19 the other day and that hipoint slide is BULKY with thin grip. Where as a glock is the same size throughout. I got rid of that hi point and i get to pick up my LCR on tuesday!
GarandFan Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:13 AM Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:13 AM When I carry an automatic, this is what I prefer, a Kimber Super Carry Pro (Custom Shop) Yes, great guns. I have accumulated three Kimbers over the years ... a 3, 4, and 5". I like them all very much and carry them from time to time.
kurt555gs Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:44 AM Author Posted March 19, 2012 at 03:44 AM If I would have started this thread about the Kimber, there would be no replies. Talk about a High Point, or Kahr, or Bersa, and everyone chimes in. Don't people here like guns of the Super Carry Pro quality? I don't get it. * Carthago delenda est *

kurt555gs Posted March 19, 2012 at 08:30 PM Author Posted March 19, 2012 at 08:30 PM The only pistol I will carry that doesn't have a butt big enough for all my fingers is my LCR. The Kimber Super Carry Pro is small enough.
wilessiuc Posted March 20, 2012 at 10:24 AM Posted March 20, 2012 at 10:24 AM I have a hi point 9mm. Shoots really well. I'm thinking it will be my tackle box gun when cc passes.
