Who was present for the IGOLD Flash-Carry-Now-Chant? Talk about spectacular!!

Molly dang-nabbit send this to every Chicago news media outlet!  I missed the spontaneous chant in the rotunda,  Perhaps I was still outside helping or in the tunnel or stratton building.  That kind of impromptu might get a little attention.

I am so glad I was there for that, these clowns need to realize that we are not a small group of fanatics and they cant just ignore the will of our founding fathers!

I was on the 5th floor as it was resonating thru the building!!!!!!

  We all were!   I'm jotting down some directions for next year and there was a copy of the Stratton building floor plan I found at the convention center I grabbed and scanned, but with security and concerns about (Nutty guys with fertilizer in panel trucks ) I will not post it until I clear this thru some of the organizers.

But I have a better understanding that might help with searching for reps in the stratton building for sure in the future.

Sadly, I was outside.  But the first person who came out and mentioned it said, "You should have heard them changing in there!  They ROCKED that building!"

We were down one of the 3rd floor corridors and it was reverberating quite loudly up there.  :thumbsup:

I was on the 2nd floor at the Rotunda.  That was a great chant to be part of!  I hope all the legislators in the building heard it.

I had just delivered my cards to Madigan's and Cullerton's offices and was going to go in search for my Senator's office when the chant started so I waited on 3rd for a bit. It was great! I wondered how well it penetrated the building and some of the stubborn minds within its walls. I saw the Capitol Police Officer coming toward Valinda and Dr Hupp taking about 6' strides at about the time it ended.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

I missed it as I went to the Stratton Building first to try and avoid the long lines getting into the Capitol.  Maybe next year.

I'll say that two years ago, at my first IGOLD, I was lost 95% of the time.  Now I know how to move around and between the buildings.  I wrapped up early and spent the rest of my time checking out committees.

I was on the 3rd floor. It was a fantastic, moving experience. We also ended it in pretty good unison - that was the surprising part to me. We must've had a good director :whistle:

We were over in the danged Stratton building and missed it. That was awesome though! Next year let's set a specific time that we're going to do the chant so all 7500 of us can be in the capital building at the same time. :rolleyes:

I usually enter the Stratton building because it was quicker, but this time I actually followed Molly's directions on which door to enter based on where I was sitting at the PCCC. Glad I did because I just got in and went directly for an elevator (Senator Lauzen just got in and we chatted for a few moments) got to the second floor and within a few seconds the chant started.

It was great. Next year maybe give a little more time for people to crowd back into the capitol from the underground and build from what we started, or the again maybe we will not have to use that particular chant by IGOLD next year!

I liked this year's chant.  Here's hoping that by next year, it will be unecessary (thus allowing us to work on secondary concerns such as FOID.)
