They will buy ammo in Indiana

They reported the ammo bill favorably! Never even told the tally of the witness slips!  What a crock!

I can't watch at work, but if cassidy is speaking, she is new and picking a gun issue as your first big push is probably a really dumb move... She has been lit up by media on this, as we all know.

Stung by the result of McDonald v. City of Chicago, 130 S. Ct. 3020 (2010), the City quickly enacted an ordinance that was too clever by half. Recognizing that a complete gun ban would no longer survive Supreme Court review, the City required all gun owners to obtain training that included one hour of live‐range instruction, and then banned all live ranges within City limits. This was not so much a nod to the importance of live‐range training as it was a thumbing of the municipal nose at the Supreme Court.

It's pretty obvious Madigan stacked the Executive committee.

He needs to be voted out.

If they do not already know who the last legal owner was, how do they know that most illegal guns come from within the state?

If the ammo "sin" tax passes I am going to start buying ammo exclusively online just for the principal of the issue, or driving over the border to Indiana or Wisconsin. Saying that a lawful gun owner buying ammunition somehow causes inner city violence is not only moronic, it is downright insulting. Basically they are saying that by buying ammo I mine as well be a criminal. ####ING Illinois.

She can read her stats all she wants, but how does reporting my gun stolen keep it from being used in a crime?

Seriously, is she saying that as a victim of theft, I would be the cause of the thief selling the stolen item used to hurt someone?
