The Roman Empire fell due to a large, corrupt government, overspending, an overextended military, insecure borders, and the illegal immigration of Goths, barbarians (anyone who was not educated), and religious fanatics. Sound familiar?
"..it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.."

Yeah I wonder how much money Holder personally made off sending all the guns over there ! Probably a boat load of money. There is not telling how many times they were trading back and forth ! Shows you how much this government is corrupt beyond belief!

-Thomas Jefferson-
Now two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel. One is the colors that fly high and proud the red, the white, the blue. The other ones got a rattle snake with a simple statement made, don't tread on me, is what it says and I'll take that to my grave

Even CBS News has recognized that the Mexicans are losing their own weapons faster than the US can replace them:
Legal US Sales to Mexico is arming the cartels
Seriously, the legalization of dueling would end political pandering and solve political corruption in the State

I wonder if we are responsible for the blunt instruments and make-shift knives as well. The Mexican government is simply incapable of managing their own affairs and must pass blame somewhere, so it may as well be on U.S. citizens.

IT IS.
There are huge signs at most border crossings. I've personally seen them crossing into Metamoros and Tijuana. I guess the problem was they were written in English (They actually were). LOL

This is the dirty little secret heart of it all, that (historically at least) the media never wants to talk about. Mexican criminals aren't getting fully automatic weapons from U.S. gun shops. That's just absurd.
They're getting them from their own police and military - either sold outright, or by way of defectors bringing their issued rifles with them.
And while it's true these are American-made and American-supplied weapons, they actually come straight from manufacturers and each deal is signed off by the US dept of State. i.e. they're not coming from gun shops, or everyday americans.
If Mexico doesn't want any more American guns, then STOP asking for them, and STOP BUYING THEM.
