I was addressing Ron Pauls forein policy without repeating the subject or the lead up to it. This is how  conversations go.
Sorry if I am off topic.

We tried ignoring what was happening in the rest of the world during the 1920s - 1930s.
How did that work out for us...oh yeah a little event commonly known as World War II.

I don't think RP's approach to foreign policy can work in this day and age. It is even more dangerous to pretend what is happening elsewhere won't impact us in 2012 than it was in 1935.

The goal should be to have a leader that will make WISE decisions, not one that will bury his head in the sand or vote "present" when times call for a tough choice.

Just my opinion...still have no idea who I can support.

My link

What do you think about some of the things Ron Paul said here.

I really want to vote for him but I really dont want Obama to win. Not really sure what I will do. This link makes it hard for me not to vote for him.

First, I thought he did great. Second, it's the tonight show. I thought every thing he said was OK, but I'm not sure I buy Bachman or Santorum's hatred of  muslims/gays. Distrust and fear certainly, but I couldn't say for certain it was hatred.

Glad to see you posted the link to the whole video and not just the 30 second clip the Blaze ran.

So on to the allegations:

"Iran is trying to build a nuclear weapon"

This may very well be true.  But really, why shouldn't they want to do so?  I want to be able to carry a gun for personal protection.  I know its not a perfect analogy but one of the ideas is that by being able to carry a firearm for personal protection it means that criminals know this as well.  I don't plan on using it for aggressive means, but why should another person have the right to say what level of arm is appropriate to deter an attack?  An armed society is a polite society?

This article explains some of the misunderstanding.  I am not about to say that Ahmadinejad is nice, normal, not-a-madman, or anything like that.  I am saying that at least as far as I can find proof, he has never talked about wiping israel off the map.  LINK

It may sound coom-bye-yah to you Todd, but we survived the soviets with ACTUAL nukes pointed our direction.  I don't think we stand to benefit at starting a war (or Iran to glass) just because Iran wants to have a nuke.

But then, that is just my opinion.

Here is an interview with the ACTUAL monster Ahmadinejad, not the boogie monster we create in our own minds: LINK

The Soviets understood MAD. There were also reasonable people. Iran is neither.

And the islomics have been blaming us since the crusades, the fact that 400 years later, they still didn't like Thomas Jefferson, shows they are worse than the Irish about grudges.

The Soviets and the North Koreans and even the Chineese poke and prod. But there are "rules" that go with that and Iran isn't interested in playing by any rules other than the ones they make up. Embassys were off limits. but Ahmadinejad was one of the leaders that took American non-combatants hostage for over a year. He's not stupid, but I don't think he's playing with e full deck either. And witht he clerics pulling some of the strings another Komehani is around the corner.

Let Isreal handel it and if we need to drop a couple of bunker busters to help end their nuke program so be it.

But India and pakistan look civiliazed compared to Iran. And I think they won't have a problem letting AQ or some other group get their hands on a "small" nuke device and try and keep their finger prints off of it.

So no they can't be trusted. You on the other hand have shown none of these traits in wanting to protect your self. And Iran is free to develope an army, airforce and what ever conventional forces they can. Their Intel capabilites were enough to capture one of our drones.

But Ron Paul does not sound like a thoughtful expression of foriegn policy. He sound s like a crack pot who echos Rodeny King -- "can't we all just get a long"
While a 9 mm or .40 caliber bullet may or may not expand, it is an undeniable fact that a .45 caliber bullet will never shrink.

My opinion is Orielly needs to shut up and let him answer a question.

I just thought I'd mention that the candidate who's not going to win is in first place in Iowa now, alone, Gingrich is dropping like a rock.  Oh and he just completed raising another four million dollars via the recent "money bomb" fundraising drive.  There were no Wall Street fat cats involved in this fundraiser, no military industrial complex contributors, all grassroots.  I know he's not going to win, so don't say it, just letting you know how he's doing at not winning.

Meh...Never had a problem with his suits, but then again I guess I wasnt looking close enough. It'll bug Paris Hilton, for sure, but I had always thought Ron looked clean and well dressed.

Obama's approval ratings are so bad, i dont see why we are afraid to put up the best person available to run against him.

The GOP is most likely going to have a majority in both houses of congress. I think getting someone in the executive branch that will go along with the legislature is the

biggest reason why they don't like Ron Paul.

Also, letting go of the global empire we have been building scares a lot of people.

Didn't come back fast enough to edit my previous post, but I wanted to add this GOP will take the gloves off if Paul wins Iowa.

So I have done all the research on Ron Paul available on the net and I have concluded that since he's seen over 4000  :D  he's got my vote.
