TyGuy Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:46 PM Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:46 PM Do any Illinois Walmarts still sell firearms? If so, could you give the city that they are located in?
willxjcherokee Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:49 PM Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:49 PM I wish, I would pick up one of those cheap single shot .22s
Uncle Harley Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:54 PM Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:54 PM Effingham, Robinson, does
abolt243 Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:55 PM Posted November 2, 2011 at 06:55 PM Mt Vernon does. Effingham I believe. Perhaps Vandalia. All in the area (I74-I70-IN state line-I55) sell ammo. I'm pretty sure that many south of I70 sell firearms. As a guide, the larger stores are more likely to sell guns. None of the "one door" stores sell guns, even the one in gun friendly Perryville, MO. The larger floor planned "two door" stores are more likely to stock firearms. AB

Smitty1955 Posted November 2, 2011 at 10:26 PM Posted November 2, 2011 at 10:26 PM The Carmi Walmart sells rifles, shotguns and black powder supplies, and all types of ammunition.
Lou Posted November 3, 2011 at 12:45 AM Posted November 3, 2011 at 12:45 AM They will special order a firearm for you. 123 pages - Walmart Link
drdoom Posted November 3, 2011 at 01:59 PM Posted November 3, 2011 at 01:59 PM I remember the Walmart in Mount Prospect used to sell handguns and rifles in the mid-'90s

Or are you saying that any walmart that sells ammo will be able to order from the catalog for me?
bemidji Posted November 3, 2011 at 02:15 PM Posted November 3, 2011 at 02:15 PM WM in Morris did last time I looked.

The other locations do not have an FFL.

colt-45 Posted November 5, 2011 at 02:13 AM Posted November 5, 2011 at 02:13 AM Wal-Mart down here will. that's what they told me.

The other locations do not have an FFL. if they sell ammo then they have a FFL I don't beleive that to be accurate. I don't think an FFL is required for ammunition sales. Only for the sale of firearms.

GarandFan Posted November 9, 2011 at 11:34 PM Posted November 9, 2011 at 11:34 PM I was in a Walmart in KY today, and to my surprise saw two ARs for sale ... a SIG and a Bushmaster. Good to see it.

Amazing what a difference a few hundred miles makes. This could be a very good thing. If there were ever another run to ban "assault rifles" that are "not in common use" AR's wouldn't qualify. You can't get much more common use that to be offered for sale at WalMart!!!
Patriots & Tyrants Posted November 10, 2011 at 04:12 AM Posted November 10, 2011 at 04:12 AM When I am in Ohio visiting the in-laws I usually check the Walmart there; Last time I was there they had .40 S&W Federal JHP's (brass case) for $15.00 per box and had 9mm for $11.00 per box. Those prices can be beat locally here during sales but those are every day prices. The only problem is; like most walmarts that still have have guns and ammo the guy behind the counter knows nothing "No the 40 S&W....the red box...two to the left...yeah that one". The Walmart in Lake Geneva used to sell guns and ammo when I was little (90's) if memory serves they don't have guns anymore but do have some ammo.
I Hate Gunlaws Posted November 10, 2011 at 10:33 PM Posted November 10, 2011 at 10:33 PM I went to Walmart in Sparta last night and decided to check out the sporting goods section... I was surprised. They still have a few asorted shotguns and rifles for sale (had them for years), but shooting gear and ammo has really increased. Multiple targets, rests, and cleaning kits... and the ammo case has really expanded. The most surprising thing was Federal SS109 420 round ammo cans.

willxjcherokee Posted November 10, 2011 at 11:10 PM Posted November 10, 2011 at 11:10 PM The Walmart in lockport only sells ammo currently.I hope they sell rifles so I can pick up a cheap .22 lever
