I keep getting all of the emails from USCCA and today is the last day for a $7.00 trial. I am tempted to try it out for a month. Is anyone here a member? What do you think of it?

I am. It's run by a guy named Tim Schmidt. I love the monthly magazine. Very good info on any CC'rs needs. The emails can get to be a bit much(just about every day!). I just ignore most of them.
Give a man a welfare check, a cell phone, cash for his clunker, food stamps,
section 8 housing, Medicaid, 100 weeks of unemployment checks, a 40-ounce
malt liquor, needles, drugs, contraceptives, and designer Air Jordan
shoes… and he will vote Democrat for a lifetime.”

Remember the 1991 Luby Cafeteria Massacre of the Unarmed (Kileen, Texas before Texas Concealed Carry) Do we need 23 people to die in a similar incident before we're allowed effective self defense?
Three school masacres have been stopped by civilians with firearms. Two with handguns and the third by a guy with a shotgun. (Pearl, Ms; Appalacian School of Law; Edinboro,Pa)

Magazine and organization is amazing. Self defense shield insurance looks to be legit and a good deal. Marketing however is horrid. I deal with the marketing because everything else is so good.

I'm a member they've got a good magazine, booka you can get and also offer a legal fund and insurance if involved in a self defense shooting. If you go to the $7 one month trial you'll also see a discount one year membership as well. (Getting the legal fund and inaurance is extra) I would expect they will get a copy of the magazine out to you quick with the trial membership, if you get the one year you could of course cancel and get a refund, if you didn't think it was worth it.

Have often wondered if I should join. Maybe I will now. Golly, they sure do send the emails once they think you are interested, though!

Well, I signed up to stay on for a year. I have been pretty busy and havent had much time to check out their site yet but I did enjoy the magazine I got and it looks like their site may have some good info. It also looks like a lot of couch commandos but I guess you run into that alot any more. I think if you sort through it there will be enough stuff to make it worth it. They also have the Defense Sheild now which may be worth the cost if you ever do have a SD incident even though that is unlikely.
