One of the parteners at my moms firm in Paris is a member of the Edgar Co sportsman club and he has contacted me asking for one of us to come out and do a town hall on right to carry in IL. He's hoping for an update on where we've been, where we're at and where we think things are headed and how people in the area can help. He says there's a number of folks there that are gun owners and they pay their NRA dues once a year but they're not actively engaged so he is hoping that such a meeting would help build a little fire.
I can set something up to do this later this summer/fall after we get mom and baby settled in but I need a little direction as to what we can or can't discuss and may need help answering questions. I just thought I would post this here and see if there's anyone that is close by that would like to go with me and we could represent illinoiscarry and perhaps do a little fund raising.
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks"
-Thomas Jefferson-

Now two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel. One is the colors that fly high and proud the red, the white, the blue. The other ones got a rattle snake with a simple statement made, don't tread on me, is what it says and I'll take that to my grave

figure out a night and let us know.  I may be able to go  if I can get away from momma and the twins for a night. I don't do well speaking in front of large groups though  I'm more of a one on one kind of guy.
