Man AZ DPS is backed up like a public toilet. When I got my permit, I mailed it in on the first of the month,they batch process so they didn't even send it I'm until the 15th, it was issued on the 17th, and I got it in the mail on the 19th I believe. The again this was last yr. UT only took 50 days or so to send my "preliminary" permit pending the print check. Now...ugh. And I thought about doing NRA Basic Pistol to get a FL permit but opted against it because of the IL crap being up in the air and now I guess Phelps says that his "new" bill will require 15-18 hrs.

I called again today and the guy I spoke with said it was mailed out 4 days ago (Monday). So hopefully I will have it tomorrow which will actually be 65 days. I'm pretty mad though as everyone else I know already got theirs from the same class as me.

I called and talked to them again today. The guy, very nice BTW, said it could take up to 2 weeks because it is an ID and doesn't go normal everyday mail. 2 weeks? That puts me over 70 days from the cc charge. I'm a little po'ed.

Wild guess but I'd say the majority of the AZ apps are from Illinois residents. The woman I spoke to way back when told me that a good chunk of their apps were from IL residents.

Mailed mine in beginning of March and recieved it yesterday in case anybody was wondering, talked to a clerk there she said they are getting slammed with oos applications, as expected. They're working hard though, just be patient.

When I spoke to the woman, she asked where I was from and I replied "the Chicago area" and she just chuckled.

I finally got my Utah permit today. Next will be my Florida or Arizona probably.

lets say you recently took the NRA basic pistol.... would you be able to take another class to suffice for the extra hours or will you probably have to do it all in one sitting?

I should have gotten mine last Monday. Today is actually 67 days from the day my cc was charged but they screwedup something with the picture so it never got sent out till I called. I believe mine was right around 3/16 also but not sure. Call the number on the bci site and they will let you know.
