Just wanted to take a minute and say THANKS! to anyone and everyone who got this going in Wayne Co. I have been absent from the boards for awhile due to work and family commitments and am very happy to see this taking place. I will be printing and posting flyers everywhere I can think of in Wayne, Clay and Richlands and will likely put some out in Edwards and Wabash since I travel through them for work.

I am willing to help out with the meeting if needed, someone can PM me and I will try to check them regularly. I will be in Chicago area the week of June 8th but otherwise will be in my home area.

THANKS again!
Good night Chesty, wherever you are.

I have been in touch with the local organizers and have also posted this event on a facebook page for our college's gunsmith program. You can view that event here simply click on the "events" tab. Feel free to become a fan of the page as well, it's the only Gunsmith program in the state!

How 'bout that gun shop south of Effingham, on US45 located near Hord (I think) north of Louisville?

Gosh darn it - you were gone by the time I got off the stage and I didn't get to talk to you!!!!!!!
But it was great to look out in the crowd and see you there!

I thought the turnout was terrific - someone estimated around 300+ in attendance.
Supportive enthusiastic crowd ready to do whatever needs done to Right to Carry in IL.

Speakers were Teresa Pyle former law enforcement, MikeW of the ISRA, Rep. David Reis, Sheriff of Clay County, a delightful group of young FFA students who presented the Right to Carry  debate speech the took to state competition earlier this year, Attorney Rodney Holmes, and IllinoisCarry spokesperson Valinda Rowe.

It is very moving to stand among so many patriots and supporters of the Second Amendment!
I saw soooo many  women and families there tonight - wonderful!
We will succeed in this effort, I could see the determination on all those faces . . .

I agree that it was a good turnout. Nice to see the FFA speakers have been raised with some common sense and i hope they influence many others around them.

Sadly, I had to leave during Mr. Holmes' speech due to medical concerns with my son (heat exhaustion). Luckily he is doing fine after some IV fluids and a shot for nausea, not sure he's interested in working the hay field anymore though.

Hope we see more members here and more activism everywhere from the meeting. On behalf of the local residents, THANKS! to the speakers, attendees, organizers and the FF C.P Church for the use of the facility!

If I understand correctly...You are saying there is a gunsmith there? Very possible, I am not sure. I meant that the college has the only associates degree program for training new gunsmiths in IL. (actually the only one for several states in any direction)

Not a smith, at least it think it's not, but he is an FFL dealer, on the east side of the road.

I was just mentioning another place for someone to drop off flyers.
