Last year at this time we were trying to round up 50 more people to join us on the board and reach 1000 members. NOW we need 31 people to sign up as users and we will have 1400 members, that is a 40% increase in membership in 1 year. WOW!!! This is great I love to see this thing growing like a weed. if we can keep on going at this pace we will be close to 2000 members by SAFR 2010!!!!! that is almost as many people that were at IGOLD 2007. I love this site & I am glad to see it growing & becoming stronger. Keep up the great work Blaster & all the Mods!!!

Yea, these numbers are pretty consistent with all things guns - permit apps / gun purchases / etc
I might never have found this site had it not been for obama.
I came around because of the ammo shortage. I was looking for perceptions - why was there such a rush on ammo? I was also trying to figure out where to get good prices and places that had stock.
If there was ever a good thing about obama its that he has drawn a lot of people together - even if they are in opposition to him.
+ This is obviously a damn good site

I agree, 1400 members is a lot. But if you check the list of members, some of them haven't logged it since 2005. The acutal number of active members (including the ones that at least login and just read posts) is much smaller.

You gotta admit though....There are more "active" posters nowadays & the fact still remains that 400 new members in a 12 mo. timeframe is still pretty high.

So I think some folks are not "forum" active but they consider themselves members, are involved in what we do, and join in when the calls to action go out. A big plus is that a great many of those subscribers have huge mailing lists they forward to also.

Right again Molly. I have been subscribed to ISRA mail list for a while, but just recently became member.
So I guess this subject got balanced out. Some members may not be "forum" active, but are active in one way or the other.

30 new members in 12 days WOW!!! we need at least 1/2 of the membership to show up at SAFR with at least 1 friend!! I think at this rate we can hit 1500 members by the time SAFR gets here.

The way things are going, I would'nt be surprised to see 1500 by or before SAFR II.

I have 7 other siblings and we're gonna land on # 2000,heck if I have to,i'll sign up the wifes yorkie if thats what it takes.lolBut seriously I tell everyone I know about Illinoiscarry and hand out flyers everyday to customers friends and leave flyers at places I do business at.The guys at the shop are sick of hearing me talk about,I told them to sign up and i'll shut up.
