The Winnebago county board is going to vote on the Concealed Carry Resolution and we need to pack the Board room, hallway, & stairs. There are a few board members on the fence with this issue & if there is overwhelming support for it they will vote with us. We want everyone to wear the same color (light blue) to look unified. I will get the specifics on the location & room number later but it starts at 6:30 and you will have to pass through security. Here is the shirt I will be wearing.

If you want one like it you can get it Here. They are a bit pricey but they will look cool with a few hundred people wearing the same shirts. If you are thinking about getting one you should allow about a week for them to get it to you.

Ordered mine 2 days ago. (as well as 2 yard signs) Also got one for "the little woman" ...... she will be attending as well. I have already started to warn friends and relatives in an attempt to get as many people to come with as possible.

The meetings start at 6:00pm sharp on the 8th floor of the Winnebago County Courthouse. The vote is SUPPOSED to be brought to the floor on Oct 23rd. I am hearing that some previously pro board members are waffling on the resolution so you need to get them on the horn and make sure they will stick together. I for one will stand by my word and support this resolution as written or an amended one if I agree with it. Either way, I AM ON BOARD WITH THIS!!!!!!

John Sweeny is one of the people waffling. He called me the other day. The reason is he said they changed the resolution so much that it is barely a Concealed Carry resolution anymore. They had to change it to get the SA & others on board with it. He said he was thinking of making a motion to table it until next year. He thinks if we wait until after the referendum & we get a positive vote even 60% Yes, then he can bring it back as a full fledged CC referendum & more board members will be willing to say "F the state we are going to do this, let them sue us. We have the votes on our side." This is the same thing the sherriff said after the last meeting. John also said if they vote & it passes they take everything & dump it in the sheriff's lap. He would have no more or less power than he has right now. The permits would not be issued & the county would not sue the sheriff because it would be the county against the county. There are a lot of county board members ready to go to court against the state, but there is no way of doing that unless the sheriff is willing to go against the SA & break state law. there is another meeting Tuesday, I plan on going & seeing if the will table the resolution & start a lawsuit on behalf of the citizens of Winnebago county & other county's in IL against the state of IL for denying or rights granted under the Constitution of the United States of America. Maybe they can start thinking about it & we will see what happens after November 4th.

If anyone has any suggestions please chime in. John Sweeny is supposed to drop in & post a little better explanation, I will call him today & let him know I posted this & to check it out & correct me if I am wrong about anything.

The only other thing I see happening the way I understand it, please correct me if I'm wrong, is that they would have to vote on it again after December because the resolution is only good for this board's current term.
