OOPS JULY 8th We need more than the usual 10 guys we need about 30-40 to fill the room. We need alot of people to keep this news worthy!! I have noticed when it is on the news, people all over Rockford are talking about it. When people talk about it, it is a great opportunity for me to educate people that think they are against it. I tell them facts & show them statistics, then they seem to understand that it is not a bad thing. Now they are on our side. They aren't going to run out & buy a gun or come to the meetings but when the time comes they will vote for our side. Please if there is any way you can make it please do. There is also talk of another public forum but they only want to do it if we can double the people from last time. I will be leaving my house at 4:15 if you want to ride with me or you can go straight to the county administration building (404 Elm St. Rockford)
I hope to see you there.

That's July, right?  So . . . this coming Tuesday?

I can't make any promises.  I'd like to come up, but missing it last time sucked.  Let me see what I can do.

Hey Kenny,

Just got back in town today. I am planning on being there Tuesday and will try to bring some "re-inforcements" with as well.
The little woman and I just put 1200 miles on the bike last week and were home safe and sound! WOO HOO............

Life is good!

so here is my dilemma guys... I should be able to make the Winnebago Meeting this tuesday, baring insanity at work... however there is a council meeting in Wilmette where they will be discussing repealing their ban in light of the Heller decision...

I don't we've got anyone to be there and Wilmette  is relatively close to me...

So, providing I don't socked with work, do I goto Winnebago or Wilmette?

Slappy, I'd vote for you to go to Wilmette.  IllinoisCarry shouldn't pass up the chance to have someone we trust report what happens there.  I think you're more valuable as an advocate/reporter in your own area than as chair-filling somewhere else.  I'm sure ISRA will have someone there, but sometimes their information gets out slowly.

Of course, we could just trust the local news outlets . . . . but I don't, so it's probably not a good idea to try.

I'll be there.

Slappy, I'd say hit the Wilmette thing. It'd probably be best to have someone informed there so that the gun grabbers can't try to turn the ear of the council. (any more, at least)

Right now it looks like I might make it up after all.  Gotta drop the family off with the in-laws in Mendota, then I'll head up on my own.

Well, I think I'm going to wimp out this time.  Somebody reminded me to today that tomorrow is Guns Save Life/Champaign County RA's monthly meeting, and this close to SAFR I think I'm going to make the drive over and see if I can twist any arms.  Besides, I don't get to go there often, and their meetings are fun.

It doesn't hurt that it takes me a lot less time and fuel to make the Champaign trip--and my in-laws are out of town, so my wife can't visit them anyway.

Alright, save your gas money for the next meeting people are allowed to speak at.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting tonight. I feel this is going to be winding down soon and the vote on the floor may come within the next 60 days. Load up the room with supporters and when the issue comes to the board floor we need a packed house. Again, I can't thank illinoiscarry.com for allowing ust this forum to get our voices heard. I am so proud to be part of this effort. My guestbook has over 185 entries to date and is still growing. See you tonight.

Due to an injury in the family Mrs SpeedRacer and I won't be able to make this one. We're still planning to be in Chicago Friday though.
