Great reply!  Sounds like he may be one of the one-in-four he mentioned. ;)
It's a wonderful day in the hood...

I'm posting this from my New Hotness computer with the much-improved video capabilities, so I should be able to have the video of the 6/10 meeting up soon.  I've been finding that everyone I talk to about CCW says "You really think that could happen?"  It's been a big help to be able to say "Have you heard what's going on in Rockford?"

(With apologies to Bertolt Brecht.  Sorry, Mr. Brecht.)

NICE! I'm excited to have the Sheriff's speech posted.
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

This is on a sad note that I write. A CCW supporter, a friend and my partner in District 9 of the Winnebago County Board passed away this morning at 8:55am after a short bout with cancer. She will be missed by all of us. A fighter for the rights of all Americans.

I'd like to extend my sympathies to you, Fred. Cancer is an ugly thing. May she rest peacefully now. I am sure she will be sorely missed.

Mary Ann Aiello will be missed in this community. Her positive and persistent attitude will be hard to mirror but to the best of my abilities, I will keep this going not only in her honor but for all of us. Thank you everyon for your wonderful sentiments.

Neither do I expect to be a victim of violent crime; indeed, it's highly unlikely. But in the unlikely event of a violent crime, not having the means to stop the criminal could lead to serious property loss or personal injury to myself and my family. It is simply a matter of common-sense prudence."
