CHICAGO HANDGUN OWNER Posted July 23, 2018 at 02:32 PM Share Posted July 23, 2018 at 02:32 PM There is another Reverend planning a protest march to block Lake Shore Drive and march to Wrigley field. Heard it on Fox news this morning.
Jeffrey Posted July 23, 2018 at 02:46 PM Share Posted July 23, 2018 at 02:46 PM There is a small part of me that thinks IGOLD should turn into a march such as these. After all, the authorities don't seem to mind it happening. But to stoop to the level these sheep have fallen to, I don't want to be in the same class. soundguy Posted July 23, 2018 at 04:55 PM Share Posted July 23, 2018 at 04:55 PM I hope they do it when the Cubs play at home about 90 minutes before game time.Cubbie fans would be honking their horns in a show of support!
Yas Posted July 23, 2018 at 09:15 PM Share Posted July 23, 2018 at 09:15 PM http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-met-lake-shore-drive-shutdown-protest-20180723-story.html Activists to shut down Lake Shore Drive, take anti-violence march to Wrigley Field Taking a page from the Rev. Michael Pfleger, a group of community activists plans to shut down a stretch of North Lake Shore Drive as part of an anti-violence march that will end at Wrigley Field next week.About 4 p.m. Aug. 2, groups that include the Coalition for a New Chicago and Violence Interrupters plan to march on Lake Shore Drive near Belmont Avenue and then proceed to Wrigley Field, said the Rev. Gregory Livingston, one of the group organizers. The Chicago Cubs have a scheduled home game for 7:05 p.m. that day against the San Diego Padres.“Often times, the cries of complaints from poor people aren’t heard,” Livingston said. “We have to go where the cries have to be heard.”Livingston would not say if the group plans to get into Wrigley Field, but they are planning to release more details about the protest at a news conference Tuesday. He would not say what route the group plans to take, and he didn’t yet have an estimate of how many people could take part in the demonstration. RECarry Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:52 AM Share Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:52 AM This will upset thousands of people. The organizers will probably want more armed bodyguards. So the march will demonstrate the importance of being armed for self defense in public.

I think they are going to find out that they are not as special as the good father. Impeding an expressway, doesn't affect the money coming into chicago. Blocking LSD doesn't affect money coming into chicago. Blocking a cubs game and all the bars around it, does affect the money coming into chicago. Jeffrey Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:00 PM Share Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:00 PM The north side is slightly different than the south side. Wrigley field is private property. With an afternoon game happening, camera's will be everywhere. Camera's are a driving force for these nuts to go above and beyond the call of chaos. I can't wait to see this debacle unfold. RECarry Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:18 PM Share Posted July 24, 2018 at 01:18 PM Why don't they surround a Pritzker family socialite fundraiser to reach the Champagne liberals who so deeply empathize with protests against "gun violence"?
Yas Posted July 24, 2018 at 02:14 PM Share Posted July 24, 2018 at 02:14 PM Tio Hardiman's name pops up again. He ran for Governor and has used Chucks gunship as a background in the past to try to regain some relevance in the community. Rev. Gregory Livingston, who is organizing the protest, said community groups were coming together to shut down the Drive and participate in the march.“Chicago’s City Hall and the powers that be listen to the upset cries and complaints of the well-to-do and ignore the disadvantaged and challenged,” Livingston said. “So we must go where the cries of the suffering can be heard.” Among those groups is Livingston’s Coalition for a New Chicago and the Violence Interrupters, led by executive director Tio Hardiman, an anti-violence activist.https://blockclubchicago.org/2018/07/24/activists-plan-to-shut-down-lake-shore-drive-march-to-wrigley-field/
Jeffrey Posted July 24, 2018 at 03:03 PM Share Posted July 24, 2018 at 03:03 PM Meanwhile 240 people have been shot in chicago in the last 24 days. Not a single march was planned for any one of them.
mic6010 Posted July 25, 2018 at 12:59 AM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 12:59 AM They will be making more Republican voters with every march they do. I say let them go at it.

biggun 1 Posted July 25, 2018 at 02:32 AM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 02:32 AM i saw on the news today that they are calling for the removal of tiny dancer and eddie johnson so my guess is eddie will not be joining them or leading the march.maybe the cpd will do what they are paid to do this time and arrest the law breakers.i can,t wait to see how this plays out. gangrel Posted July 25, 2018 at 10:58 AM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 10:58 AM Funny thing is, once they've allowed this to happen, they've allowed it. There is no way for them to say no at this point without looking like the bad guys. Funny how that works. I was kind of hoping after the Dan Ryan deal that the pro-2A crowd would respond in kind, but now I am kind of thinking it is better to let the city reap the benefits of their "tolerance and understanding." The antis and liberals have a funny way of making themselves look bad in the long run, and now they can drag their "friends" at city hall down with them. VannDaddy Posted July 25, 2018 at 12:30 PM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 12:30 PM I don’t think it’s a good idea to inconvenience people to get them on your side. Making someone late for work, or an event that they’ve been planning for weeks or months does not endear your cause in their hearts.
BigJim Posted July 25, 2018 at 03:55 PM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 03:55 PM If the only people inconvenienced are people going to a cubs game who cares? Maybe they could occupy Rigley Field for the day and stay off the roads.
soylentgreen Posted July 25, 2018 at 05:44 PM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 05:44 PM I think this is great. I want anti-gun people to make more enemies....and this is a great way to do that! The funny thing is, I imagine most of the people who go to Cubs games are anti-gun anyway. Anti-gunners angering other anti-gunners. Perfect. USMC1775 Posted July 25, 2018 at 07:51 PM Share Posted July 25, 2018 at 07:51 PM I just love the fact that Tiny Dancer supported the Day Ryan protest that was on state property to make the governor look bad. Wonder how he feels about this protest on city property. And them wanting him out of office. I say he gets behind them.

RECarry Posted July 26, 2018 at 12:55 AM Share Posted July 26, 2018 at 12:55 AM Meanwhile 240 people have been shot in chicago in the last 24 days. Not a single march was planned for any one of them. And I'll bet no one called to turn in the most likely suspects. Maybe the north side 'elites" are perceived to get better police protection because the public cooperates with authorities instead of protecting the "honor students" in gangs. People might listen to the cries if the victims and the community stepped up to collar the perps.

SiliconSorcerer Posted August 2, 2018 at 07:38 PM Share Posted August 2, 2018 at 07:38 PM As long as they keep blocking streets in Chicago I'm fine with that, they just should not be just tossing out roofing nails anytime they are in a crosswalk. RECarry Posted August 2, 2018 at 10:51 PM Share Posted August 2, 2018 at 10:51 PM This chart shows today's blip in traffic compared to the 3-year average travel time. Not exactly a prolonged blockade of Lake Shore Drive. The news reports approximately 200 marchers standing outside Wrigley Field at 6:00pm. 2A4Cook Posted August 2, 2018 at 11:15 PM Share Posted August 2, 2018 at 11:15 PM They shut down Lake Shore Drive to accommodate these criminals for over half an hour during rush hour. Do you think they would do that for us if we marched to protest the stomping upon of our 2nd Amendment rights, or do you think they would arrest every last one of us? You got it.
