Illinois Attorney General Race

While I am not 100% enthused about Erika Harold ® who is running for Illinois Attorney General, her opponent in the election state Senator Kwame Raoul is vehemently anti gun. She needs workers and money to beat a Chicago Democrat.

Harold was born and lives in Illinois. She graduated from Urbana High School and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Harold earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2007. Her professional experience includes practicing law with Meyer Capel, Sidley Austin LLP, and Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Harold has served on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Equality, the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, and the Trinity International University Board of Regents. She has been affiliated with Lawyers in the Classroom and Prison Fellowship. Harold was crowned Miss Illinois 2002 and Miss America 2003. This is her first run for statewide office.
Yes we need to worry about legislators but we also need to be concerned about who our AG is. We need to get involved and I am writing her a good size check for her 6/26 fundraiser at the Rail Golf Course in Springfield. What about the other pro gun organizations and individuals like me?

In the current climate, I sadly believe that Raoul is unbeatable ... unless some REALLY incriminating tapes materialize, in which case, he still wins in Calinois.

No, I disagree, She's eminently winnable. IF instead of Erika Harold wining, Gary Grasso had won the primary, then I would have to agree with you.

Race issue is defused, and in addition to all her other qualifications - she is easy on the eyes. That DOES make a small difference,

There are few barriers left for the post, with Lisa Madigan breaking the women's barrier.

In my political "sphere" and districts, the Governor's race and Attorney General's race were the only two I expected to affect in the Primary.

I feel the same applies for the General election.

Although, I AM HOPING that I can help oust Kathleen Willis from my legislative district and elect Republican Anthony Airdo to the 77th district.
