I recommend the Otis system with the memory flex cables (vinyl coated steel). Even with a limited access action, you can drop these into the ejection port and then pull through breech to muzzle. One size of patch can clean anything from .22 to 10-GA.

Don’t buy cheap brushes. Like military surplus. The cheap ones have the ends cut off into sharp points. The good ones have loops. Yes you’ll pay more. A good place to find quality cleaning equipment and solvents are benchrest shooters supply houses. Sinclair’s out of Indiana is one.

Pro Shot 1 piece rod, a bore guide(I like Sinclair's), and caliber specific jags, brushes, and patches from Pro Shot.  I prefer round cotton patches vs. square.  Sometimes I cut down shotgun patches the size I want.

 

Also, sometimes different companies threads aren't the same, so picking a rod and accessories from the same company has worked best for me.
